I've always hated Black Ops. Honestly, I haven't liked the recent CoD's. Now there are people who hate them fully, but I'm one of those guys who likes it AND BF3. I think the last good CoC was the first Modern Warfare, after that=shit.
I'm sorry, but it looks horrible. Why not play the original zombies on CoD on World at War? That was a goodie.

The only people that don't like the new call of duties are the ones that get owned in them. That or just BF3 lovers, in which case you're disliking a game just because you like a certain other brand. Like Android vs iPhone or AMD vs Intel. Fanboyism. If it truly was horrible, it wouldn't sell.

Your story isn't that true at all, one of the major reasons why people don't like call of duty anymore is due to the fact the huge amount of recycling going on with the models/textures etc (and come on they are still running on the same engine , with all that money they could atleast build a better version of the engine (with physics... can't they just get the havok physics engine?) instead .) , also I thought that people also play for the campaign (which is just again a story about a 1 man army raping a whole army with his bare hands like some sort of steven seagull.). And I don't give a single damn if get "owned" by someone in a shooter , but seriously you got to admit that the average age of the players of CoD will not and never reach above 14 years old with the current stuff. Also that part about getting owned reminds me of smart talk what those 1337 MLG 420 N05)<0P CoD kids/fanboys always say.

So please lose that "they get owned , they don't like the game then" mentality, look beyond the borders.

PS , Comparing CoD with BF3 is like comparing water and fire , they are both elements but are something way different.

CoD : Arcadelike multiplayer on small maps/CQ
BF : More Teambased/"Realism" multiplayer on maps on various sizes (most played are medium to XL)

1. Numbers so its in order. Who cares if they're recycling models and textures. If the game is fun, then it's fun. You can't say "Wow this game sucks because its got the same graphics as the last one, which were good too." That doesn't make sense. Sure they shouldn't recycle, but that doesn't make the game any less fun. That could make it not worth buying because you're already got "pretty much the same thing" but that doesn't make the game crappy. Because if it's pretty much the same thing, then that means you should like it just as much as the last one.

2. You may get the game for the campaign but if you want to exceed your money's worth, hours of online play makes a 60$ game go from 8 or less hours to complete to countless hours. It's like buying an MMO in that sense because you get a long time of playing for the same price as a game that has crappy or no online gameplay.

3. They are different but that doesn't stop people still compare them. You bring up CoD and people are like SCREW COD BF3 OWNS ALL. And vice versa. Whether or not they're comparable, people are still doing it. Because there's apparently only enough love for 1 war-based FPS in their mind. For instance I'm not a BF3 fan just because CoD was all I wanted, but I don't think BF3 sucks but wouldn't want to buy both at double the cost and also split the time I can play on each. So I stick with one.

And as far as the age thing goes, I don't really know how what's in the game affects that. I have no idea what appeals the younger audience in the game. In either case, the game is tailored for killing and shooting people. Which is the same as BF3. So if more younger kids are playing CoD, it's probably just because CoD is more popular. There could be 5 mil annoying people on BF3 and 10 mil annoying people on CoD MW3, but if MW3 sold twice as many copies, then it's all the same. Anyway, what you say about what I said not being true... is not true. At least 80% of the time that is DEFINITELY the case. The only reason I said it that way was for humorous purposes.

The good things in this CoD are zombies and the futuristic setting.

Don't turn this into a fucking fanwar on CoD and BF.

World at war and Black ops 1 were the ONLY good call of duty games....I don't know about BO2....but i won't be instantly getting it...i'm waiting for many many reviews and gameplay videos...

Zombies is probably my only reason. The first one wasnt good at all IMHO, a cheesy campaign, annoying and boring multilayer, and honestly I thought combat training was the most pointless thing on there.
They might as well come out with a game made for JUST nazi zombies...

Actually, you cannot compare CoD and Battlefield since they're completely 100% different.

CoD- Quick-paced, Arcade, Mostly solo play.

Battlefield- Long Games, Realism, All team/Objective play.

And as usual, It's all a matter of opinion. It's like Chocolate vs Vanilla.



Actually younger kids play CoD because CoD does not require as much teamwork, and General warfare ( Eg. Recoil control, Bullet drop, vehicle control) as BF 3 does. BF3 lost a lot of sales on Christmas because people complained it was too hard. Which is why in January of 2012, Mw3 sold almost double the copies.





Oh and I play CoD and Bf3. And I gotta say, I love them both.

Only good one is the very first call of duty and World at was is descent but others suck.

Okay my opinion, they didn't care even a bit for upgrading the graphics.
But it seems that Multiplayer must be awsome, they made some really good improvments!!
But as I saw, I can't say the same for the Zombies

From what I see, they're adding new features, like a seperate side-campaign with perma-death (Not sure how this works exactly, but it will make it a bit more difficult, and I'm always up for a challenge), choices in the campaign. These new features will make this more interesting, along with the old COD formula, which means it will still be fun to play. So, I'll definitely get this when I have the chance.

I pre-ordered it. I saw the zombie trailer with heavy metal soundtrack, and succumbed to amazon.

Saw the zombie trailer, read about the basics of it, and decided from then that I was having it. I found the campaign in Black Ops to be boring and confusing, but I get pulled into anything once I'm focused so if Black Ops 2 isn't any better, I'll probably still enjoy it.
