He's REALLY milking it to the point where if Slender was a cow, the udders are now producing dust.
Whether he was the creator or not it should have stayed as a one hit wonder.

He IS a one hit wonder, he never made any other slender game besides the first one. Some other guys just stole his format and started pumping out tonnes of shit based on it. The slendermans shadow guys are earning cash by ripping off his game, and that would piss me off.

Over-hyped or not (opinions), people still love that game. Hell, even the first one didn't really scare me but i keep playing each new release because people love to watch that shit.

If you don't want it, don't buy it, but don't hold it against the guy for trying to cash in on his idea that a load of other people stole. If he iterates well enough on it he deserves it. Let's just wait for some footage or details before we pass judgement yeah?

    • This could be an amazing idea. After all imagine the possibilities. In the first Slender it was in a forest where you would run round and he would appear behind you. Then we had a sanatorium and you would run round and...er...well....he would appear behind you...However in the Mansion you...hmm...you would run round and...well he would appear behind you.
So you see with the amazing diversity shown in the different versions so far the possibilities are endless :P.

Ok yes I was being sarcastic there. As I said in another post it's just been done way too much by way too many people. When I first watched PewDiePie play this in the forest I jumped when he did and the next couple episodes after I still jumped. But now when he appears I really don't react. Seen it too many times now and making a new game to pay for so you can round round and he appear behind you, I just don't see why that would sell.
A word to the wise ain't necessary - it's the stupid ones that need the advice.

But I already know exactly what the footage and details will be anyway...

It's going to be the same overused cheesefest that we know as Slender, today. Changing the character, environment or even adding weapons doesn't butter the biscuit for me either.

    • I think to me personally it would be worth checking out at least once, but I feel it would be a waste of money that I could use to buy other stuff I'm saving for... The only way this could be saved was if they strayed from the story a little more than the Slender's Shadow series did.. I'll admit I enjoyed the first game for the first like 3 playthroughs, but when I saw all these posts on facebook and crap... I decided it was too much for a game that really didn't have much to it

    • I think this game would be awesome because this game is different from another Slender based games. What make this game different? It's NOT FREE!! Finally something different!

Warning: This post contain high sarcasm

OK.. Now I'm serious. Another Slender game with typical game play, it's getting old already. Can people be more creative? I'm sick of this Slender based games. Especially that Slenderman Shadow maps. Now, it's another Slender game? I don't care if it's made by the original developer, I don't even care if there's a Slenderman game that use Frostbite Engine. As long as it's about collecting items with a ghost that can spawn behind you, I'm not interested anymore. plus it's not free? Meh..

    • my god dont beat a dead horse with another dead horse -.- slender was a very good viral game and gained alot of popularity but when they started adding new levels and now this when they are thinking of making it into a game you have to pay to play its gone too far. they are ruining the mystery and creepyness of slender by making a proper full game about it. the whole point to it being scary in the first place was that barely anyone knew about slenderman X(
    • well now i dnt see it as beating a dead horse or overkill...there are alot of people out there that really enjoy the slender game. an they have come up with new maps but thats just it....there just different maps to an original game. to give the slender fans alittle something different to play but still enjoy there original game of Slender. im a Slender fan myself, an look forward to the new maps when they come out. so why hate on it...if you dnt like them just dnt download them.... ^^

    • Just so you know, the original Slender, as stated in its own description, is an "experimental horror game". AgentParsec has hinted towards the idea that the whole purpose of it was to see if the idea would be well-received. As we all know, it was. I don't know if this is exactly how events have played out, but all evidence suggests that Slender was merely a test and a distraction from the real thing, which has been severely ripped off by those making Slenderman's Shadow.

Also, Slender was designed to be a short experience. It was meant to throw you into a hopeless situation, create an atmosphere, scare the crap out of you then finish. For this reason, its simplicity was what made it so great. The Arrival, on the other hand, is a full commercial game. It will have a full storyline, along with plenty more levels, properly done to create an immersive experience. In this case, it needs to be a lot more complex, and so I imagine it'll be more like Alan Wake or Amnesia than Slender: The Eight Pages.

That's just my two cents, and why I think The Arrival is going to be worth the money. But, we shall see.

This will most likely get accepted on steam greenlight because all of them slenderkiddes being all like

Most likely, yes... I'm hoping that if it's successful enough, it'll throw enough of a spin on the overdone Slender-Game thing to revitalize it. Best of all, being professionally done, people won't be able to overdo it and kill it completely.

      But again, we shall see.
