      Felix glances up at the clock from his desk - 1.30am. He'd been playing horror games for well over 5 hours, and he could feel the strain on his eyes as much as the strain on his heart.

      Deciding to head upstairs to bed, he shuts off the lights. All is quiet; Marzia must have gone to bed already, and so he sneaks his way into the bedroom, seeing her curled up under the sheets, climbs into bed, and curls up beside her. He feels his eyes becoming heavier, and he is about to drift off to sleep...

      "Goodnight, Marzia."

      "Goodnight, Felix, my love."

      Felix's eyes burst open. The voice is not Marzia's. Like a shot he jumps back from the curled up figure beside him, as it rolls over to face him, with a ghostly white face and wide, emotionless eyes.

      "What's wrong, sweetie? Is there something on my face?"

      With a shrill scream, Felix bolts from the room, fearful for his life and where Marzia could be. He had to go get help, but the phone was downstairs. In his haste, he stumbles and falls on the stairs, tumbling helplessly to the bottom. As he falls, he closes his eyes, expecting a painful landing, but none comes.

      "Marzia...."

      He opens his eyes, to find himself lying in his bed. It is morning, and no-one else is in the room. Faintly, Felix can hear Marzia singing - it must have just been a really bad dream. He heads downstairs, into the kitchen. Marzia is standing at the sink, looking out the window, washing a glass and plate.

      "I made you breakfast, my love." she says with a giggle.

      Felix looks at the kitchen table to see a plate of hot food - eggs on toast.

      He laughs. "Sweetie, thank you, but you know I hate eggs."

      Slowly, she turns to face him.

      "I'm sorry, Felix." The voice is not hers... and Felix begins to back away towards the door, trembling. "I guess I forgot, but I'll remember next time, okay?"

      The ghostly faced figure smiles at him eerily beneath what must be a wig, and Felix runs away back up the stairs. He decides to hide in the closet on the landing. Sitting down to catch his breath and gather his sanity, he closes his eyes.

      "Who are we hiding from, my love?" The voice whispers in his ear. "This is a great hiding place. They'll never think to look here. They'll never stop us from being together."

      Felix screams and bursts out of the closet and down the stairs, but they disappear underneath him, and he falls into the darkness.

      His eyes open once again. He is in bed, and it is 1.35am. Someone is lying beside him.

      "Marzia? Are you awake?"

      Marzia responds. "I am now, Felix. Can you please just go to sleep?!"

      Felix breathes a sigh of relief, as he wraps his arms around her, drifting away into dreamspace... unaware of the ghostly white figure in his embrace.

      "Together... forever."
