    • "I've been practicing for years, ever since I was fifteen, to be exact. It's a hobby of mine, practicing with a blade. As for the studying, I've been attempting to use magic to infuse my blade with certain elements, such as water, as you just saw. I know how to use wind a little, as well, but I've yet to even attempt earth or fire. As for dark and light... Eh... I try not to think about them."

      Janus turned to Mildred, smiling pleasantly.

      "It's my ultimate goal, you see. I want to master all the elements. I'm no wizard, not by a long shot. But from what I can tell, anyone who gains at the least a decent understanding in the use of the four main elements will gain great power. Even if they didn't, being able to use all four elements is a great advantage. So there you have it, I'm not motivated entirely by money. I guess that makes me a pretty bad mercenary, doesn't it?"

      That's what happens when I try to reason with people, they don't like it, and I eventually end up turning them to charcoal in the end...

      Mildred: Well to be honest dark and light are just combination of other elements so it shouldn't be that hard after you manage to control all four. *joke* Oh yeah, you suck as mercenary. *chuckle* However I believe you rock in being dedicated and reasonable. And that is just what we all miss in times like these. *sit on a log* Yes there is a lot of mercenaries these days so practically not being one makes you valuable. Especially with skills like those. *smile* Too bad you guys travel further in the morning. I would love to see all those elements. *put on smirk of daredevil trying to look sort of threatening* And put them to the test of course. Been a long time since I had a duel with someone. *sigh* Eldrid is waaay overprotective.

    • The swordsman grinned. "I thank you for the kind words. Really, it means a lot to me, knowing that you, at least, don't think of me as just another filthy sell-sword, even if I do act it at times. And I look forward to a duel, hopefully in the near-future."

      He then yawned widely, stretching his arms out.
      "I didn't realize I'd been out here for so long. Shin's probably got the bed, so I guess I'm passing out on the couch. See you in the morning, Mildred."
      Janus then walked away, in the general direction of the house he'd just left.

      Minutes later, he walked in through the front door, marched straight to the couch, and promptly collapsed into it, immediately attempting to sleep.

      !!!: Yeah! We really don't wanna get rough with you.
      ???: Rough? Ha! Look at him! I could break his neck with one grasp. *shove axe under Shin's throat more* So? What's it gonna be?

    • I shoot a glare at the one holding me against the tree, and quicky unsheath and resheath my sword three times, slamming the hilt firmly into his gut thrice, making him lose his grip on myself and his weapon.
      "I've no desire to kill you, but if you do not leave, I shall have no choice."
      I draw out both of my blades and ready myself for combat.

    • OOC: And now to wake up at an incredibly convenient time.

      IC: "Zzz... Don't wanna go... Don't call me a... Uwaaah!"

      *THUD!*

      "Ow..."

      Grumbling, Janus rose to his feet.
      "Of all the times to fall out of the couch... Probably be morning in an hour or two, as well..."

      A pain in the swordsman's head let him know he'd not be going back to sleep immediately.
      "Oh, damn it all..."

      Swearing under his breath, he walked out as silently as he could, hoping fresh air or some water from the nearby river would cure his headache.

      *his partner replied in a mocking way* !!!: Well soooory for not being able to predict that the only pointy-eared dude we ran onto had weapons like those and actually knows how to fight late at night while seemingly weak like a human god damn grandma! *take a breath when he told all that in one breath* Look, pointy.       ???: *smack partner upside the head* Very. *get his axe again and turn to Shin* A-ha! Hahaha! Who's hot stuff now pointy? *study Shin's battle pose and whisper to his partner* I think he want's to fight.
      !!!: *turn head to his partner still not removing his hood* Thank you. It is totally NOT obvious! *to Shin* Fine! But we're not leaving with empty hands.

      "I've truly no desire to fight. If you wish to, I shall not hold back in the slightest. If you value only wish money, then I am sorry to disappoint you, but I have nothing to give. But tell me, why do you attack me and not traveling merchants or lone travelers? Surely they hold more than a tagged half-elf?"

    • Janus had been splashing his face with cold river water when he felt the ground shake slightly under his feet.
      As tired as the swordsman may have been, he knew what could be trouble when he saw or in this case felt it.

      Sighing, he wandered into the forest, blade sliding from it's sheath in preparation for a battle.

      I am really not in the mood for this...

      !!!: *respond leaning on his hammer* I guess he doesn't even know what are we talking about.

      !!!: *not waiting for his partner to finish his sentence, grab hammer and charge at Shin swinging* Let's play then!

      Power: The Ball on Icynato's head is a disguiser. He quickly grabs hold of the ball pushing towards his chest making his clothes, facial features, and voice change, but he stays the same size. It can sometimes backfire on him and make him not change at all leaving him in plain sight.

      IC: Icy was strolling down a local town he lived in looking left to right watching the shops and half-elf's at work bouncing the ball on his head. "What to do...what to do....what...to...do?" Was all Icy repeated walking down waving to everyone he pasted. He waved to the guard signaling to him he was heading out to the forest for a stroll.

      Guard: "Are you sure you will be fine, Icy? There has been some human guards recently scavenging the area"
      Icy: "Don't Worry about it, they wouldn't kill a defenseless young boy would they...?"
      Icy had a weird smile to his words, took and apple along with him, and started his march out into the thick forest with his shiny silver bow on his back.

    • Icy reached deep in the forest the wind blowing this way and that as he tree's dance very gentle-like. Icy climbed up one of the trees looking out into the sky a gigantic smile on his face. "What to do...what to do....what...to...do....?" He repeated again walking his way deeper in the forest getting closer to the humans that were near.
