  • Inactivated subscribers on my channel, what do I do ??

I have a channel with 1396 subscribers right now...But I was having kind of a weird problem, everytime I post a video, it just gets like 100-200 views after a WEEK !! Which is something really weird, I don't thinking I'm boring my subs, most of them suggest me to play some kind of game and I play it and nobody watches, not even those that asked me...
I'm doing some series of Outlast and the new Amnesia and Limbo...I always post them everyday, share them on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, everything !! But just a few people watch it, and it's kinda depressing seeing others youtubers with 500-800 subs getting 200+ in a day...Whats the matter? What should I do to "fix" this problem ?

  • Consider yourself lucky, some people don't make it where you do on YouTube. YouTube has changed a lot over the years and one of the biggest changes is the subscribers. It's incredibly hard to get subscribers now a days and I don't think that people are getting bored of you, I just think at this point with YouTube changing and all that they are probably watching big You-tubers like pewdiepie, tobuscus etc. Don't stop just keep up the good work!
  • Sometimes you gain subscribers because of a certain video and if you don't post topics like those they are simply not interested. I used to post often about the scp containment breach, but I didn't want my channel to be only about that. So now that I concentrate more on series of let's plays rather than one shot let's plays, less people are watching, but you know, you should do what you want. I gained a big amount of subscribers because of one video, which was about the latest release of the scp cb at the time and I'd say most of those subscribers are inactive now. But that's okay! As long as there are still people, who comment and watch your content, it is all okay. :)
  • Unless I made something generally with a very broad appeal (like a review of a new game for example) I expect about my first weeks view count to be about half my sub total (so about 100-150 views) as I have to different areas i cover with little cross over. But when i do something like a Vlog I get maybe 50 at most as that has a very limited appeal to my current subscribers.

It's just an expectant that not everyone will watch every video and I thoguh think some of my subs just subbed for one video they liked or saw featured elsewhere and have never just checked back since.. i doubt any regular youtube has higher then 60% retention of new subbers when it comes to watching every video they put out

    ^My game/film documentary/review series... check it out!
