    • First, problems why you cant sleep:

      1) You eat heavy food before sleeping, in 1 hr...
      2) The atmosphere of your sleeping place is not comfortable (your sleeping positions, room temperature,) (better you make yourself comfortable)

What i did: one thing,,, this kinda personal no need to know,, and i prevent to eat heavy food, and i will set my room temperature to what i want,, and also i will make my bed comfortable

I don't eat anything before I go to bed and I don't think there's anything wrong with the atmosphere...

Lel. Well yeah, maybe I should do something that makes me calm before I go to bed.

    • mediate when you lay down. Worked for me. Sounds cheesy but it helped me. Maybe you're not relaxed enough
On the outside I may appear like an emotionless sarcastic piece of shit, but just like an onion, when you peel off more layers, you find the exact same thing every single time and you start crying.

    • Just try to create complete silence in your mind. When I am thinking about stuff in bed while I just want to sleep, I just think "silence...." until there's actually no sound in my mind anymore. And then it's fairly easy to fall asleep. :]

If you stand for nothing, you will fall for anything.

Keep your hopes up high and your head down low.
    • I never fail to sleep

Probably the best tip I can give you is go out and exercise for about an hour everyday, then when night time comes your so tired you pretty much instantly fall asleep

Im a bodybuilder and sleep is uber important, I push myself to points where I throw up but yeah not only will you be able to sleep because your so tired but your cardio vascular system is always in check and your also being active
    • Never, ever, EVER play video games or use the computer two hours before sleeping time if you have troubles sleeping.

Overuse of the computer can cause great brain stimulation, making it hard to fall asleep even when you think you're exhausted.

Relax, read a book, or perhaps just do calming things, but avoid electronics of any kind.
    • I have this problem too honestly, I find that a sleep mask does wonders. It makes you feel like your eyes are shut even when there not and it kinda forces you into sleep in a good way. I have been sleeping much better since I got my sleep mask and I hope that if you still are having trouble sleeping that this helps!

    • I've just started doing the meditation thing and it really does work wonders! You don't have to do it right before bed but just 10 minutes any time in the day. What it does is it feels like it takes all this mental waste and disposes of it so that you can clearly think. When it's time for bed those thoughts that normally cloud your mind will be further away and you should be able to sleep easier.

      Hope this helps!

I've tried meditating and I can never do it, I dont think I do it long enough or have the attention span for it...but if you can do it DO IT!

    • Actually even I too have problems maintaining a clear min anything longer than 10 minutes, but it's one of those things that gets easier the more you do it. When I started I couldn't help but start thinking of other things, but that's the purpose of it because in the long run it helps to clear those things out of your head.

Depends on how you mediate :) and ofc what do you want to accomplish. I have some aggression and anxiety problems myself and the doc I was visiting showed me more than one. I was like carrying the list around to know when to use what lol. And ofc at the end you choose the one that changes things the most ^^

    • This is gonna sound like a contradiction and me giving advice on the matter isn't the best cause my sleeping patterns are all over the place, but I get sufficient rest, even if I wake up at 7pm to start my day.

but... I find it easy to rest when all the humming of electronics are off. Just turn anything but the clock off.
Then lay down and close your eyes. Don't worry about passing out or drifting off from exhaustion. If you have thoughts rushing through your mind. Let it happen, then let them go and don't hold on to any. At some point you'll either have drifted off by then or be lost in thought. Sometimes it leads to lucid dreaming, but let's not get into that. As long as you're not working against yourself which is easier said than done.

      Lastly, focus on your breathe.
It's one of the few things that is voluntary and involuntary that your body has. Next to blinking, but you shouldn't be blinking while trying to fall asleep.

Worst case scenario is that you laid down and at least rested. Try not to take pills or drugs/alcohol. They can really screw you over and sometimes they interfere with REM sleep which is the sleep that really matters.
May we not lose our breath during times we wish to endure.
