No answer from the shadows. In fact, whoever was there appeared to be gone, but...
"I can't believe you fell for it..."
Said a voice behind Rea, as a hand grabbed the back of her head.
"Your power is mine..."
As quickly as it happened, the hand let go. Behind Rea was the same kid from before, a purple glow fading from his eyes, and now holding a ball of fire in his hand.
"Pyromancy? Been looking for that one for a while."
The boy grinned widely. (Showing off teeth that were quite sharp.)
"Nice trick, wouldn't you say? You'd think a cop hunting players would know if what she heard was in her own head or not."
Throwing the ball of fire skyward, (where it went directly through the roof) he turned back to Rea, his fists forming to stone.
"Well, you wanted a fight. Here I am. The name's Kin. Mark it down, it's the last name you'll hear."
*Meanhile...*
"Ha! Gotcha!"
Shouted Alden in joy as he finally caught the cause of his recent misery.
Before he could follow through on getting revenge on the crow, a fireball from below, seemingly out of nowhere, hit him right in the face, knocking him out of the sky.
Free-falling for a few hundred feet, the winged fox righted himself, and slowed his descent before he splattered on the pavement.
"Alright, who threw that?!"
He shouted, looking around for the culprit.
To his right, in one of the warehouses, he saw two people, a woman and a child, ready to fight.
"Look, you two, I hate fireballs in the face as much as the next guy. And- Ack!"
Fully intending to teach one of them a lesson, he'd walked right over. The child instantly noticed, and launched himself directly at Alden, knocking him over.
Before he could do much more than swear, the child had already gotten out of Alden's reach. A shot of anger shot through him as he saw the boy wielding a copy of his own blade.
"Thanks for the extra power, fox-boy, I've been dying to try this one out!"
"You little son of a... That blade belongs to me alone, you have no right to even look at it!"
"No, last I checked, it's mine. If you're so pissed, why don't you fight me for it?"
OOC: The boy, Kin, has a unique power. If he gets physical contact with his enemy, he can copy their power and use it as if it were his own. He has no apparent limit to how many powers he can use, but their strength is directly linked to his level.

You know, most people call me insane...
That's what happens when I try to reason with people, they don't like it, and I eventually end up turning them to charcoal in the end...
Why are you looking at me like that?
Despite popular belief, I did not draw the avatar I'm using. I can't draw.
