  • Still busy inhaling his food, Tristam had only given Sahrah a noncommittal shrug.

Unfortunately, fox-like ears were, surprise, good at listening, and Sylvia, being right next to the pair, heard the whispering easily.
"Tell us what? Ooh, is it a secret?!"

Hearing something about a secret of course caught Kiha's attention quite quickly.
"A secret? What would my apprentice be hiding from me?"

The effect was instantaneous. The half-demon, in his panic, managed to get his food stuck in his throat, and immediately began choking.

You know, most people call me insane...
That's what happens when I try to reason with people, they don't like it, and I eventually end up turning them to charcoal in the end...

Why are you looking at me like that?

Despite popular belief, I did not draw the avatar I'm using. I can't draw.
  • Sylvia was the first to jump up, but seeing Sahrah had gotten to the half-demon first, just stood there, looking awkward.
Eventually, Tristam spat out whatever was interrupting his flow of air, and managed to recover in a few deep breaths.

    "T-thanks..."

Seconds later, though, he wished he'd passed out from lack of oxygen.
Reason? Kiha. She was standing right behind him, and naturally looking very menacing.

"So, apprentice. Is there something you would like to tell me?"
Tristam made a noise comparable to that of a mouse being trodden on, and failed to speak.
    "What about your friend, then?"

Right on cue, she addressed the Lamia.
"Would you kindly tell me what secrets should I be knowing about?"

  • S: shaking with anger, she stands between Kiha and Tristam, but ignores Kiha and suppresses her anger to ensure Tristam's health is okay.
    "Good. I'm glad you're okay."
She kisses Tristam's cheek and gently seats him back down, then turns to Kiha, letting her anger explode out.
"What the HELL is wrong with you?!
He damn near choked to death because of you, is frightened half to death because of you, and probably lost several years off of his life from the stress YOU caused!"
She has risen to her full height at this point, using her tail to tower over Kiha, and her scales seem to glow from an internal power.
  • Despite being practically screamed at, the dragoness displayed no more than annoyance.
"Wrong? Nothing. Kor's lack of table manners put him in that situation. And before you even suggest that I'd sit idly by, I'd have intervened if the situation wasn't already well under control."

It was at this point that the half-demon in question found his voice.
"Um, it's not her, per se that's scary, just what she's capable of, really."
He then gave Sahrah an apologetic look.

"Why thank you. And as for stress... Well, let's look at it this way. His life would've been much shorter if he was unable to defend himself from, say, werewolves. Be thankful for what you both have."

  • S: backs off a bit, sitting next to Tristam.
"That does not change the fact that you have done nothing to relieve said terror.
If he fears you, or what you can do, this much, then that means you've given him, specifically, a reason to fear it."
    She shakes her head.
"But, this conversation is baseless and inconsequential, in the end."
She then relates the story of her and Tristam's journey to Kiha.
  • With a sigh, Kiha returned to her own seat as well.
"That may be true, granted, but it is his story to tell why he "fears" me or my capabilities."

Patiently, she listened as Sahrah recounted her adventure.
"Do you mean to tell me that you two just happened to meet the harpy queen, convince her to abort her plans and sign a contract with the humans, right after Kor personally put down an angry mob?"
There were a lot of conclusions Kiha could've drawn. That was not one of them. Mainly because it meant diplomacy, which was not Tristam's best skill.

She fixed her gaze upon Sylvia.
"And you just happened to let him go, without knowing the risks?"
"I knew from a glance that he was a capable-"
"That means nothing. Capable or not, if he'd not returned..."

Her voice trailed away, leaving everyone in the vicinity with only imagination to tell them just how badly a dragonkin could react.

    "And you, Kor!"
    "Yes, ma'am!"
Kiha then tore into Tristam, an angry gleam in her eyes.

"What on earth were you thinking?! Did you think nothing of the risks?! What if you'd gottten yourself or your friend killed?!"
She sat there, fuming a bit before cooling down rather quickly.

"Still, you both are alive, and that's what counts. I am surprised that you didn't demolish either village, though, It is quite refreshing to not hear about collateral damage from your getting in a fight."

    "So... You're not mad?"
"Hmm... Bit torn between relief, anger, and pride. I'll probably give you a reward later, after... Sparring."

    The half-demon shuddered involuntarily.
"I might not even do that, though. Some of the staff from that school of yours claim you've missed several lessons. One Tao Angren being one of them. I'll allow them to decide what to do with you. Any questions?"
    "None, ma'am."

  • S: After the lecture and hearing Tristam's skipping out on classes, she looks at him, then Kiha.
    "That is probably my fault."
She fidgets a bit in her seat until she hears about the sparring, when she smiles at Tristam.
"Hey now, don't be like that."
She leans close to his ear and whispers in a voice only he could hear.
    "I'll be cheering for you."
  • OOC: sry guys, I'm really busy these days with my studies :/. I'm doing my best to follow

On the outside I may appear like an emotionless sarcastic piece of shit, but just like an onion, when you peel off more layers, you find the exact same thing every single time and you start crying.

If the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off!
  • Belial: *chuckle and give up tickling, laying over her making sure he doesn't squish her with his weight, and lean his head against Liara's shoulder breathing under her neck* Mmmhm, you smell nice...*smirk* What were you making for breakfast?

  • Belial: *smile peeking out at her wings and pull her deeper into the kiss using telepathy* It is not good for you to skip class, princess. No matter how unimportant it seems. You have a lot to learn. You know I will be waiting for you my angel. *kiss her with passion holding on to her gently* What did I ever do to deserve this happiness?

Let us eat so you can get ready and I shall walk you to class then. *put on his funny voice and gentle face while taking her nad and getting up* Alright then, to the kitchen! *laugh and glare at Liara once more* And you know, your wings are amazing. You should show then more often. I like them very much. *pull her up and towards kitchen* Come on now silly, I am starving.
