PewDiePie has changed to the worse! :(

  • I know a lot of people would like me to stay the same and keep doing Amnesia over and over. You could do that with games like Minecraft (Like Yogscast or whatever) because the gameplay is different and they add new features to it. Amnesia was so scary in the beginning, but after a while the same gameplay over and over gets: really boring, really fast. So I started fucking around more and making jokes in the game to keep it fun and enteraining, not only for the viewer, but for myself. (I think most people liked it, but some dont). But even that has it´s limit of enterainment and right now I really, really don´t feel like playing Amnesia. It´s hard to keep things fun if I´m not even enjoying myself playing.

    I´m not going to stop playing Amnesia, I mean Amnesia: A Machine for pigs is coming out soon! But I´d rather hold off until then and fully immerge myself again like I did the first time I played Amnesia.

  • To be honest pewds your doing great as you are now.
    You put so much dedication into what you are doing which inspires a lot of us.

    But you are right that playing the same game does get boring and you do get use to everything all the jump scares just become bland.

    While when you play new games and something unexpected just pops out it freaks the hell out of you... also me when i am watching your videos full screen and in the dark haha.

    Well anyway just keep on doing what you are doing bro.

    To me it's very simple... :P If Pewdie's not having fun - you can see it. And that's when I, as a viewer, don't have fun.

    Often things aren't perfect, sometimes there's games I don't like and sometimes games I love are dropped (well, I was happily surprised Siren Blood Curse was finished :D) but that's just how it goes.

    I may not be big on youtube myself but I know exactly where you're coming from, I've done series' before in which I've been so bored doing it that the commentary was so mind-numbing it's lead me to cancel the project. Taking extended breaks from a series is nothing short of a good thing. However, with the amount of fans you have now, you're going to have loyal people who'll watch ANYTHING you put out! :)

  • I think people who believe he should keep playing Amnesia are kind of nutty. Like literally if you had a peanut protuding out of your temple...you should probably get that checked. I mean it is a freaking peanut dude?!

    The point is that people expect way too much from something and feel like it should last forever. Look at any TV show that has ever come out: Friends, Cheers, Will and Grace, DC & Marvel Animated, HIMYM, Rules of Engagement, House, etc, etc. They all come and then eventually go because the writers, the staff don't want to be spending their entire lives on the same thing. Entertaining people only works if you are also entertaining yourself at the same time. It is the same for Felix. He is trying to entertain these people but at the same time you need to be having fun yourself because obviously you are PLAYING A GAME! Let's Playing is about having fun and allowing the people around you to have fun at thesame time.

    If you lose that passion then others will follow suite. This goes with allowing your viewer base to feel entitled. There is obviously nothing wrong with going back to Amnesia once in a while, but give the guy a break. Picture yourself being told to play the same Call of Duty for the rest of your life, then suddenly you see a new, better game come out. You try to reach out and grab it but get slapped with a cane. The cane symbolises your entitled audience, but a cane can always be grabbed hold of if you have the strength (passion) to snatch it back.
    There is always time for muffins.

  • Pewdiepie again proved that he cares a lot about what his fans want to watch. Even in his holiday break he took his time to read this thread here and reply to it.
    To my mind he even could be a bit more selfish, as I trust his decision. Also I think variety is always better than just following one genre. It's ok he likes horror games, but you can just reach more people with various games, which I like, as I for example don't really like horror games that much.

    So I really hope I'll never ever read Pewdie isn't considering his fan's opinions....

    Dude, sometimes people change. Especially when you're in the spotlight of over 3 million worldwide fans!
    Pewdie probably knows that he's changed, and you cant stick to doing the same game over and over. It would eventually desensetize you to the scariness.
    Still though, PewDie is awesome.

  • I say Pewd´s has marked the spot. Why in Earth would he play games that he does not enjoy ? Don´t you think that enjoyment is the most important thing when it comes to gaming? I certainly do think so...
    Sure many like Pewd´s old stuff more than the new stuff. He HAS to change. Would anyone watch the same gameplay infinite times over and over again? No. It´s so clear that heCANNOT PLEASE EVERYONE!

  • I don't think it matters how he is changing or has changed. He is still Felix and continues to make people laugh with what he loves to do. Playing Amnesia for over two years would get boring. We, as bros, should still love Pewds through his changes! PewDie is still PewDie no matter what happens. :D

    This is a perfect example of a strong YouTuber. This is why I like PewDiePie. He's not afraid to decide for himself, and he has a valid reason for doing so.

    I have complete faith in what's coming from him, and bros, you should too. It's a bit unfair to make him play things he doesn't even like at the moment.

    I think people are just taking what they feel too far. It's not like anyone like, meets him outside the internet every day and hangs out with him. No one knows what really is going on, so they shouldn't complain. People act like they know everything some times. Hey, I said some times, and I'm not saying names X3

    What I'm actually getting at is, I just recently watch a stupid video by a butt-hurt fan or some one a friend linked me to. Like, it's REALLY stupid, and there are a ton of comments on it supporting it. I'm not mad at them or the video creator, but more confused with it.

  • In the end Pewdiepie will always put us (the bros) first, he may change what he plays and that may change how people think about him BUT he is always trying his best to make us all laugh and enjoy watching him.

    A few months ago my granddad (bless his soul) passed away. And honestly just watching him made me feel much better. Him screaming in fear, doing each voice on happy wheels. He had me laughing in tears...

    I hope that he keeps doing what he does since not only is he entertaining us but also cheering us up in those times when we need to laugh and be cheered up.

    I am glad to say that I am a bro but if Felix ever needed help I would actually go and help him.

  • I don't really care. It's your channel and although I do like watching you play amnesia, people change. And no, it's not for the worst Felix, for the best really. Like scribble nauts and lucius and Fahrenheit (really good job on that bro) and stuff like that, they are all great. Plus whatever you do I am slowly spreading you around school and a lot of people already know you (yes being a secondary school there are a few people who don't like you but we just ignore them cuz we love you) even some of the year 7s (especially one me and my friends call lil bro) sod yeah, keep doing what you want, and in the words of cry (and his beautiful voice) you look nice today, never change.

    I am typing on a 3DS im not sure how this will turn out.
    you seem like a nice person, but some bros upset me. PleaseDiePie was Not made by someone that is butthurt, but by someone that just maybe doesnt like PDP. I know this may be hard to beileve, but there are plenty of things about PDP that might make people not like him..
    About this situation.. I have always noticed a change in PDP and stopped watching him in October. Even though people may not feel the same, i feel as if his scare reactions are now way over done and kinda fake..((even in non-amnesia)) I still think he is funny and all, and I may watch him again in the future.
    I probably didnt get my point out well. it is immpossible to type on here.
