You will find that people come and go during life. It sucks I know but it is something we all have to experience every so often. He may be busy trying to settle in to his new school, so unless you truely know if he is distancing himself I would say take a step back first and analyse the situation. If he is then that is his own choice and there are millions of better friends out there.

Sometimes an unimaginable thing happens in our life and take the ones we loved
the most or someone special from us. Aside from the fact we should accept things
and move on there are some ways you can still communicate at least.

Also, when one door closes, another door opens.
Trust me, its a phase and you can get over with it.

Those friends are more like schoolbuddy's in my book. It's all fun and games when you're going to the same school and all, but as soon as that stops the friendship stops.
It happened to me plenty of times, I like to think of it as a friend filter, the real friends stay and the others are never to be heard of again.

Then the people I do keep in touch with are really good friends that are there to help me out any time so.. I honestly don't mind :p
