    • I've tried the engine prototype and I think that there are several flaws to it.

      1) Jumping on those top ledge srequire you to just right at the last second on the edge of platform A to even have a chance of reaching platform B.

      2) really don't like the mcpixel style movement. We have fantastic sprites already on paper and we should be using those instead of a 12x12 pixel, cut these fellas some slack! We should be trying with different sprites like the one on page 1 on this thread.

      3) If you see such games like Slender, Amnesia and AssaultCube, they support multiple operating systems to accompany different users tastes in computing. While this Game Maker engine is working, there is no sound while playing through crossover for mac and its Windows only (no Mac/Linux), if we are to start getting a taste of what we are to make (full engine, sprites), we need to get straight in Unity to fully understand how we can do this, and to be compataible for all of our audience. (SORRY FOR POOR LAST STATEMENT)

    • 1) That's how I intended it to be. Precise jump allows success.

      2) It's just a simple engine. I made the sprites so that you can be assured that the sprite system is working. They can be easily swapped.

      3) I'm pretty sure that can be fixed when the project moves onto Unity.

      And what about for a person with poor eye coordination? Precise jumping is basically impossible.

      Well, let's see that done please? That would be great, and that doesn't really answer my mcpixel problem, for the actual volcano man to do that would be ridiculous.

      Make some sprites, and send it to me so that I can swap. I'm not good at making sprites, which is also why we're in need of spriters.

      Nope. Not really. It's a small full level prototype in Game Maker, after which we'll move to Unity.

    • Getting into alpha stage by new year is near impossible. We don't have ANY spriters. Only art designers. In order to go into alpha we need to make a Dev build first. That is simply a prototype to see what we can work with. Once in Unity we can toy around with speed and jump height/length. Quite generally Unity has a built in support for win/Mac/Linux

      Have you tried looking on different forums for people who could do spriting? If we can't get what we need here, we'll need to search elsewhere.

    • A level ideas here. Since the game's based on earth. uhhh, half destroyed earth. There's gotta be some city. you know, something that used to be a great civilization. Half destroyed building, frozen shit, etc. Since the level based on what supposed to be a civilized city, the level consist on hoping trough pipe, vent, abandonded building, sewer, you know. That kind of stuff.

    • NZ Stephano I can understand that you want the game into alpha stage ASAP most of us do. But a rushed product is a TERRIBLE product. Give it some time. And we can't simply go on another forum because we don't know anyone there which leads to not wanting to waste their efforts on total strangers. Spriters will come. If not well then we will have to spend 3 hours on ONE Sprite stance.
