Construct Classic is a very limited engine thanks to it truely being a beginner's engine. Without being able to code things yourself it might as well be another Mario or PoP. Game Maker is good for now since it allows us to make a Dev build of the game before moving on to a different engine where 2.5D will come into effect (Unity 3D 4 as an example) if you know how to program in other engines then go ahead and talk to Sharky.
CC is not limited. You can do everything that You can do in GM. CC is Open-Source. Look at my games, it's not only for making Marios, it even supports 3D. But if You don't want change noone is forcing you to,

Also, Game Maker has a bigger community, and a large selection of tutorials and stuff to help you out. -

5 reasons why construct is rubbish.
1. The download for construct takes forever. I’d say it’s just enough time to read a book. Possibly Harry Potter.
Reading so fast... 15secs for a book...
2. Construct is confusing. I’ve had a look at various tutorials and none of them have helped. Guess I’ve got to work it out myself.
I needed one day to understand everything
3. When I click ‘help’ buttons, it pops up with a blank internet page. Obviously, they’re not very organised.

4. The image editor makes no sense. When I make a small ball, it turns up in the room as a small ball in the corner of a big selection box.
There's something called Hotspot to select the center of the image. I used hotspot to make a place where cannon will weld to the stand.
5. You can’t make good games as easily as Game Maker.
1 month > one hour
There you have it. This program is useless. Case Closed.

UPDATE: Right now we have 2 main programmers and 2 sub programmers.
Main programmers: Sharky and Conner.
Sub Programmers: Me and dragon. Labeling dragon as a sub programmer because I don't know how experienced he is. -
