Ok made up some lore for a basic Enemy (If this is the kind of platformer that has Basic Enemies)
Name: Icicle
Features: Small quadrupedal being that has sharp icicle on its back.
Attacks: Simply walking into you. Upon death attaches icicle onto ground becoming a normal spike.
Lore: The Icicle is similar to the Earth Porcupine since it uses the large icicle on its back to attack its prey. When the planet entered the prolonged Ice Age the being evolved into what we now know as the Icicle since the earlier type usually led the porcupine to freeze to death. Now it seems to favor hunting beings with warmth on them by impaling them with the icicle. As to be expected the corpse of this creature is still deadly due to the icicle rooting itself to the ground as if it is an after death defense mechanism from other predators on the planet.

New Basic Enemy that can be used as a platform for advanced levels. Thanks Br00tal for making the Basis for the creature!
Name: Griffon
Features: Flying creature with a mound of organic snow on its back, head of a hawk for eating its prey, Mane of a lion, Feet of a seagull, Wings.
Lore: The Griffon is much like what you would expect from mythology but in this case the Griffon is very much real and it has adapted itself to survive in this frozen wasteland. The Griffon has a mound of organic snow on its back most likely to be used as camouflage while resting. In flight you may be able to utilize this mound to reach areas otherwise impossible to reach. The Griffon has the head of a hawk mainly to be able to reach inside holes in the ground to hunt smaller prey. The Lion's mane is used to keep the creature internally warm surprisingly since the environment would normally cause such fur to freeze and break off. The feet seem to be from a seagull and thanks to them it can get its grip on various terrain. Of course the wings of the Griffon keep it flying in mid air, but as surprising as the mane the feathers seem to be resistant to the frozen environment. -
Mkay, gonna break the story down. The lava character, looks pretty much like fire and stone, where in place of hair, it's firered stone.
The story, is that he is sent from his planet as a meteor to hit the planet that's dying from an ice age. No heat at all. And his meteor is supposed to hit the crust and go to the core, but it doesent hit the core. Doesent even crack the crust. So he leaves the meteor and travels to each dead volcano, to bring heat source back to it. Each volcano, a new power/item. When he gets to the final volcano, he will use the last of his heat in the core, to bring it back entirely.
Sharky, the graphics are gonna be a tad better. More 3Dish, possibly.
The enemies are not people. Or even people aiming to destroy him. They are creatures/parasites that reside on the planet. Natural instinct, them being cold based creatures would make them take a go at the Man.
I will be working more on the story as soon as possible. But remember, this project could take years. Not something i'm rushing, but I will always be working on this. I can see this more than a flash game.

Yes, but more fire. Skinnier too, like my body type. And more like.. short spikey hair, except just really hot rock. When he breathes, a small breath of black smoke comes out(The black smoke breath is just a maybe.) -

Well, I'll try some sketches (even though I can't draw worth shit) and start working on getting used to a 3D model maker and see what I can get done. Also...a ways back...MGA's volcano man should be an easter egg or something at least :3Boobs Bacon

Alright people.
Main post updated : Added all interested members to the team list.
That said, I've completed a little one-level prototype engine.

So basically it's a one-level prototype right now, but it covers the sprite movement and the game engine. I'm gonna extend this engine, and make it a simpler version of this project. So that we'll get an idea of how the game would look and feel like.
