I'd be perfectly fine with Mark of the ninjas kinda game/art style. I can imagine the game with that look.

Granted, Alex. I'm in if the majority is.

3am on Monday the 7th for me? Yeah, 3am isn't the right time for me..."I think we shall call him... STEPHANO."
Thus, a legend was born.

The more the merrier -
A friend of mine drew some concept art for Volcano Man, then I told him that we are going for a Mark of the Ninja style, so he is going to redraw it in that style.

Volcano Man
Opening Cinematic idea:
The camera slowly pans across space. It shows far off planets and stars, most so distant that they appear to be just points of light. Soft, ambient music plays while the camera shows the vastness of space. Then, a meteor quickly shoots across the screen. A few seconds later, another one does. Then another and another until they start flying by in what seem to be small groups. The music starts to pick up, with more energy but still ambient. When the meteor carrying Volcano Man passes by the screen, the camera begins to follow the large group of meteors, but stays focused on the meteor carrying Volcano Man. The music has really picked up at this point, it’s pretty epic sounding. After a few moments, meteors begin to drop off from the group and land on passing planets. The planets appear to heat up on impact of the meteors. The camera stays focused on Volcano Man’s meteor this whole time. The meteors continue to drop off until finally Volcano Man’s meteor drops off. The camera follows it to the surface of the planet it lands on. The music begins to calm down and becomes quiet and atmospheric. The meteor only barely makes an imprint on the surface. Volcano Man crawls out from the meteor and begins his journey. From this point the game becomes playable. -
is the cinematic a seprate hi-definition cutscene or scripted in the game?
-
It would be nice if it could be scripted in the game. I think that would be better.

Yes, that would be better, a more free flowing game."I think we shall call him... STEPHANO."

In my opinion, a separate cinematic movie like cut-scene would be great.
It would be so that when you press a key, it'll ask if you wanna skip it or not.
And the quality would be good too.
MOTN for example. -

However, it would make a larger file size. Something to consider for slower connections. Either we have a larger game from HD cutscenes (where most computers don't have HD screens yet, or have the cutscene built into the code. It may make a smaller file size, I don't know."I think we shall call him... STEPHANO."

the cutscene doesnt have to be long just enough to make people know what is going on

I reckon that the cutscene shouldn't be any longer than 1 minute, but the end of the cutscene, it blends into the game. To make it look professional."I think we shall call him... STEPHANO."

I'm pretty sure this game will be around 1 or 2 gigs when done. A 50MB [possibly less?] video wouldn't do any harm.
And it doesn't HAVE to be HD. At the least, 480p would suffice.
Either way, it's up to Aiden or Connor to decide. -

I guess if you are to have a video at a lower quality than HD would be helpful, anyone remember the posts about releasing on the OUYA system? It's internal memory is shit. Going 1-2gb will probably max out the device."I think we shall call him... STEPHANO."
