Hey pewds I really think you'd like what I'm about to suggest! Mostly because it reminds me a lot of Ib and you seemed to really like it 
Anyways it's called Okage: Shadow King.
So basically it's about a young boy by the name of Ari who lives in a village called Tenel. Ari is a quiet timid boy who was one day possessed by the evil shadow king, Stan (oooh menacing). Anyways Stan sticks with you throughout the game and becomes your shadow. Stan formerly has been imprisoned in a small bottle for hundreds of years and as a result he has lost many of his abilities and strength. It is only with the help of Ari that Stan can regain his abilities, and that is by destroying the other shadow kings that have emerged during the time Stan was imprisoned. By battling the other shadow kings, Stan will slowly regenerate his abilities, and Ari will finally be able to escape Stan's possession. It's really interesting and the other characters are really wacky and silly, and it's just funny as well, so I think it would be enjoyable!
I'm not sure if you have a playstation 2 or not because that's what it's for, and it might be hard to find a copy since it's pretty old and might be expensive, I have a link here on Amazon: amazon.com/OKAGE-Shadow-King-Playstation-2/dp/B00005NYZ7
