Ok so i actually have quite abit of experience in this subject. And i now pretty much 80% of my dreams I am lucid dreaming which for those of you who may be confused DOES NOT mean that you are controling your dreams, it simply means that you know that you are dreaming. Dream control is something you can gain once you fully realise you are dreaming but alot of the time you know, but you just go with it.
There is MANY different ways you can go about it and i'll refer you to a website in just a moment that has the best possible tutorials on the subject but let me tell you a few things.
There are many tells in a dream that can allow you to become lucid, but for everyone they are usually different however there are some that affect all of us.
For example, a huge percentage of people subconciously know they are dreaming when ones teeth either fall out or something strange starts happening to them. That's a very common thing in dreams and usually people see this, and now once you've read this there is a HIGH chance that now in your dreams when this particular thing happens you'll become lucid.
Some tips;
If you ever happen to full become aware you're in the dream and you have control, CALM THE HELL DOWN.
Too many lucid dreams are lost because people just get excited and go nuts and think they can just go off and do anything, this is infact incorrect.
You can do ANYTHING in a dream when you are not in control and your mind is the pilot, but as soon as you take control, all that goes out the window.
Usually you can NOT, and this is the most common thing to do in lucid dreaming, fly straight away.
Usually it just isn't possible, you need to build up your skills in the dream and build momentum.
If you feel like your REM cycle is ending or your lucid dream is slipping away, Spinning around or rubbing your hands together is a really common and effective way to keep the dream going, but you must keep calm else you'll drop out anyway.
There are many terms in lucid dreaming only one of which i'll use here as it's the most easiest to do for begniners, although you must be very dedicated.
This technique is called 'WBTB', 'Wake back to bed'.
It involves you going to bed at a decent hour around 10:30pm or so, although this isn't necessary. Now the periods of time where you actually DREAM is within cycles called 'REM' and you have several through-out your night.
What's that? Does that mean i dream several times throughout the night? Yes.
Usually your mind wipes the last dream clean to start another and you don't remmeber it, but you can conquer this, with dedication.
The way WBTB is done is like i said, go to bed at a decent hour as the REM cycles don't start to happen until the last part of your dreaming, so usually at about 3am+ you'll start to have decent REM cycles, and you must wake up just before a REM cycle, as the cycle is usually REM, (Another i wont discuss), REM, (""), REM ("") and so forth, so it's extremely hard to do so, but with practice you can get it right.
Sleep for 6 hours and set an alarm, although not too loud. Once it goes off, usually around 6 horus is when a REM cycle starts although it's hard to do later on as your REM cycles get longer and longer throughout the night.
Stay up in the DARK, don't turn lights on or do anything really physical and stay up for 30 minutes. Your body will want to sleep so badly after this 30 minutes that this is the time where you strike.
Repeat this in your head as you fall asleep, 'I will become lucid, i will become lucid' etc etc. This is an extremely good techinique even befor egoing to bed, as you keep it going so its the last thoguht you have before going to sleep.
Now this can fail, but don't be discouraged, lucid dreaming takes practice and once you have the hang of it, you can REALLY use it
Use this website wholey and soley, you won't need anything else, this has THE. BEST. STUFF. you can find, HAPPY LUCID DREAMING

P.S for the guy who said he'll use it to lose his virginity, it's not possible as you've never felt what it's like to have sex so you can't exactly imagine it.
