Please read the description, this is not just another Slender clone. The point of the game is not to collect pages or any other objects to win.
Hello bros!
Yesterday I released my horror game about Slender man and I'd like to share this game with you. Please read the description before playing, because this game contains some aspects that are different from the original game by Parsec.
The game has been updated to v1.1
The list of changes:
1.Most of the bugs are fixed.
2.The game became less laggy.
3.More checkpoints added to make the game less frustating.
4.Fixed some of the confusing moments.
5.Increased the little stamina boost after getting tired too much.
6.Added some in-game tips.
7.Text file updated.

The game is called Slender's Woods, and like the original game by Parsec Productions, it takes place in the woods, but the type of the gameplay is different this time. The game is made on EDuke32, an enhanced version of the classic Build engine.
The development started a month after the original Slender game came out. One of the main reasons this game was made is to show a different atmosphere and gameplay done with the Slender man character. The goal is not to collect a certain amount of objects to win like in the most Slender tributes/clones. This game is more about storytelling and puzzle solving.
The game has two modes with different gameplay (You may unlock a small bonus if you beat both Story and Page Collecting modes).
1.Story mode, the main feature of the game, which plays like a quest with the enemy chasing you. You have to visit various locations, pick up/use items and solve the puzzles.
The story is about a man who decides to move into a house deep in the woods for a week. The man hears strange noises outside the house one night and decided to check it out. The story will have twists and sudden moments to make you more interested in solving the mystery.
2.Page collecting mode. You have to collect a certain amount of pages in the woods to survive (or maybe not). This mode is added just as a bonus for the fans of the original game.
If you have any difficulties running the game, here's the things what you can do:
* Update the video card drivers
* Check if resolution is set to 32 bit at the setup screen
* Run in windowed mode
* choose different resolution
If it diesn't help, please contact me and I'll try to help. Don't forget to send me a screenshot.

As a gameplay footage, I'd like to post a Let's play video from youtube if you don't mind:
Just in case, I want to tell something important to everybody. I know that the Slender man character is being overhyped by now. Many Slender clones came out after the original game by Parsec and almost none of them hadn't any fresh ideas or different types of gameplay, which made some people hate Slender man and games about him. I've started developing Slender's Woods in the summer, so obviously I couldn't turn back when most of the game was done.
If you simply hate Slender man and games about him, I understand. In that case, just avoid my game. I don't want any hating. I made this game just because I really liked the original concept and I wanted to do something new with it, because I think the idea of Slender man in a game has a lot of potential.
I hope you bros will enjoy the game. This is just the first version of the game, so it may contain some nasty bugs. If you have any problems with the game, just PM me, I'll try to help
Read the tips before playing the game or you may get stuck somewhere.
Importand note: under the sawmill you'll find the map which will tell you where the key is. If the map will tell you to go to the "house", go straight to the east from the sawmill and you'll find it.
