Paying attention to the audio peaks/wave graph makes it extremely easy to sync audio back to video if you don't have a lot of background noise (which is where a good filter comes in.)

Well, though I do agree YouTube customer service has gone majorly downhill since the merge with Google, we wouldn't be making as much money without the AdSense syndication either. :p But yeah, be nice if they actually got around to doing shit right... YouTube is very iffy about copyrights, and their automated system is complete crap. I've had them remove videos that had nothing but me talking on webcam or things like that, and then ask me for proof I owned it (because my face totally isn't on my damn profile.) They never did apologize for that, and I don't expect that it'll ever happen.

Python is actually a pretty nice language to start with, as it's not so "easy" that it takes away the fundamentals, but not so hard that you can't understand what's happening. If you want to look at Python beforehand, check out python.org/. I can probably be of some help with Python, as I've used it over the years and recently got back into it a bit.

Actually had this problem with more than just Audacity, it seems to be a priority issue with Windows. I just go to volume control, make sure Microphone is visible, and uncheck "Mute". You should now hear yourself on your headphones when you talk into the mic. This means you will get both game sounds, and your voice all in one video/track. Was going to say this morning when I watched it that it was out of sync, but it doesn't matter. Also, the easiest way to line up the webcam and game video is to compare the the audio wave graph. Just line up the spikes in volume/etc with the audio, and bam, perfectly aligned videos. Gotta admit, sometimes when I don't have much time mine can get out of sync too, especially with cutting, and Pewds cuts a LOT out since he usually records 2-4x longer than the actual YT video ends up being.

Sounds like a good idea. It may also contribute to stopping some of the spam/duplicates.

Hey. The reason a pop filter removes a lot of those sounds is because it separates itself from the casing of the microphone, and thus, the sound of your breathing/etc doesn't hit the microphone, and won't make (as much) noise. So, yes, it will help. Although it won't be "perfect" without a better microphone, it will still make a good difference. =) (It is something I should really invest in :p)

Also, yeah, Bandicam is bullshit. I updated mine and it still works like crap I recommend Fraps for recording, whatever software comes with your webcam for recording the facecam if you want that, and for editing, Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere. YouTube partnerships used to be on an opt-in basis, and before that people who beta'd it (like me, even though I had 0 videos.) got it by default. I never really saw the big deal in it..
