  • Need serious help, xbox controller broken

Well, long story short (not to bore you guys with the details of my personal life) I NEED to kill on a game to fuel my stress, if I don't do it soon I will freaking snap so please... someone help me out ASAP. The right analogue stick on my controller wont move the camera up or down, although there is movement in the stick itself and it still moves the camera left and right. I don't want to take the back off the controller before I'm giving any kind of instructions of what to do, youtube and google have been no help before anyone says.

I know this may be to no help, but I had the same problem, and search the same thing as you, and got the same results. Truly I didn't want to take off the back or the front top of my Xbox 360 remote so I actually waited. I may not have the same killing urge as you do, but that's what I did. In about 3 to 2 days later, my remote was good as new. This probably won't help you 'cause you might want to kill something, but that's my way on fixing the remote besides taking the back or the front off, or buying a new one.

  • I've been playing happy wheels for 2 hours which was helping at first but is now becoming tiresome,
I must admit I am a typical man when something breaks, I whack it until it works again XD which doesn't help 9 times out of 10. I'll take it apart tomorrow and see what I can do if anything. Any idea if the analogue is on a metal axis or anything that could have snapped or slipped?

Snap it back into place if it is loss. Just to say be careful 'cause one fault touch, spill, or sneeze, and your remote might break even more. XD Just kidding but be careful 'cause you might mess it up more. :P

  • Take it apart and investigate. It's already broken, if you're going to need a new one anyway, might as well try it.

If that doesn't work/can't think of anything else... buy a new one.

Sucks but that's just how it is sometimes lol. My X12 Headset broke last week, one speaker stopped working. I could've easily took it apart and messed around with it, but I wanted it fixed ASAP and went out and just bought another set. Could be a waste of money but now I can mess with the other one to my hearts content because it's already considered "trash" And if I figure out what the problem is, and this one breaks (one day) I can put the good parts together and have a free set XD.

  • As controllers wear they start slipping off the axis it's on. Especially if you play games where you rely heavily on keeping the stick pressed a certain way. Shooters are the most common games in which analogue issues occur. Your best bet is taking the controller apart and trying to get it re-positioned on the axis. Also attempt playing and getting used to a higher sensitivity so you don't have to push the stick as far. It will help extent the life of the controller.
