I must say your logic is flawed here, most of your responses are sarcastic as well, but admittedly I guess it's because of the responses you've gotten.

But I can't say that's a more professional attitude than what the staff members have around here.

Is understandable the way I had written it. No worries.

A personal opinion with the most borderline argument. May be you should practice as you preach and be more professional, stating us as not chill isn't a good enough reason for 3/10. Personal opinion or not the purpose of a feedback thread is to help, not to get a quick jab at the moderators and then say that their disputing your opinion when they are asking why the low number.

"Feedback" is quite literally Feedback. I gave a rating, and listed the main reasons behind them in my opinion. Some other reasons for the low rating I gave to Moderators would be lack of professionalism, maturity, poor grammar and spelling, minimal efforts in enforcing the rules(locking/closing threads without providing reasons, etc.) I'm stating it as a generalized opinion because I don't feel like re-searching the forum for the posts/exact incidents to provide as examples. Unless you want to pay me :P

Furthermore, I'm posting here as a user, not a staff member. I am not exactly trying to be professional. If I was obligated to as it was my job, you would see an entirely different tone.

P.S I appreciate you guys jumping to address the issue. That definitely shows effort. Perhaps not ALL of the moderators of the forum are bad, however, NONE of them should be, unless you guys are doing this for free. Otherwise, I may have jumped the gun a little bit.

I'd just hate to see anyone, from a professional standpoint, shell out money to an otherwise undeserving set of staff. Not saying that either of the moderators who posted here are undeserving, but I have definitely seen some that are. I'd list names, but that would require me to re-search several threads that I've already skimmed through.

  • Considering that you're saying you created so much more professional sites, you should know that moderation teams barely ever get paid.
As a general fact, not just because of you (because you at least are able to use grammar in a correct way): Everyone coming here to say that he's such a better and professional community manager/moderator/designer can leave this community, now.
I'm not trying to be mean here, but those people piss me off, simply because they aren't even able of handling anything better. People who really would handle something better don't say it like that, in 99% of the cases.

    I couldn't say better ... Seriously ...

I bet you can't click that dancin' Buu
  • The moderators have always been good to me here. I've stepped out of line before and I've had a warning, I deserved it. I actually take offense to you saying the moderation here is poor, the mods are great people, who love this site and have a good balance of control and freedom. Moderators can't watch the chat 24/7, most of their time is spent moderating the actual forum, not staring at one box for hours.
    So uh. I write
  • Oh. I wasn't really concerned about the chat. No need to take offense, either. Believe it or not, I just assumed that because of the amount of money PewdiePie makes that it was possible that the Moderators might be on payroll... which if that were the case, "more effort" could definitely be produced. However, the fact that they are your basic volunteer Mods actually changes my opinion entirely as the pro's of their work on this forum outweighs the cons.

Overall Forums: 7/10 (Hope you're not paying these guys too much)

Moderators: 3/10 (Moderators don't seem very chill, but at least they're active)

    Layout: 7/10

Just my opinion. Sorry if you don't like it, but you asked for feedback. I've seen/helped create much better, and I've certainly seen more professional and friendly MODs then these guys.
less than a day on the forum, How about you stay here half a year or so? Then we can talk about taking this feedback seriously.

Also got a warning, or maybe too and i deserved it XD
It maybe doesnt seem like they do anything, but they do more than you ever can imagine afaik.
They are great and chilled out people.

    That is very true actually.

I appreciate what the team does for the forum, nothing more.
  • I appreciate what the team does as well. Sure there are some areas that do indeed need improvement, mainly shoutbox moderation (I say this because even I tend to get out of control in the shoutbox until a mod steps in, in which case I stop). But other then that the mods are great. They keep the forums clean, get rid of the unwanted posts rather quickly, and usually are at times even lenient on some of the rules. I'd say that's pretty chill.

While your feedback is great to give, something like moderation feedback takes more than a day to come to the conclusion of. Also, feedback is to help improve things. Saying something like "mods don't seem very chill" is a bit too broad a statement, and gives the mods no understanding of what to be improved. How are they not chill? Are they too strict? Do they have snarky attitudes and make rude comments? Those are the things you need to include in order to fully support and give a good constructive feedback.
