Halo combat evolved is a cool game from 2001 with a great campaign, decent graphics, and a free custom addon called halo: custom edition. It is a first person shooter with aliens, parasites, and humans which is set in the future. In the game you play as a spartan super-soldier called master chief. you have a hud, shields, and a flashlight equipped on your suit. Your hud will consist of your health bar, your shield strength, what guns you have, how many grenades you have, what grenades you have, how much ammo you have, your motion sensor, and where your aiming. Your shields will protect you from being damaged while being hit, shot at, explosions around you, and grenades while it's charged. Your flashlight will light up dark areas, and battery strength will show up on your hud. In this game you play against the covenant [aliens], and flood [parasite]. the covenant consist of several alien races, and the flood infect elites and humans, and kills all other species. You can also download the free halo custom edition from online if you have the game. With custom edition you can play custom maps and campaigns from sites like hce.halomaps.org/.

Halo combat Evolved anniversary is a remake of halo combat evolved which has new and old graphics you can switch between, updated music, updated sounds, and optional kinect functionality. It still has the same campaign, but it also has an analyze mode which can be activated through kinect.
