Youtube Partnering

How do you even go for a partnership? Do you apply or just wait until they find you? Is there different requirements for different partners or criteria you have to meet?

I just don't wanna go in blind and I'd rather get answers from people who have done it or are partnered.

Sorry, I'm not partnered. >.>
But you need to apply. Just look up a certain partnership, like IGN or TGN and Google IGN Partnership Application or something.

I don't think I'd be good enough for any popular partnership like IGN, Machinima or those. I have about 600 subscribers so if I did partner it'd probably be for a little partnership! haha

YouTube partnerships used to be on an opt-in basis, and before that people who beta'd it (like me, even though I had 0 videos.) got it by default. I never really saw the big deal in it.. Unless you have a few hundred thousand subs or at least a few thousand monitizeable views a day or so, you're not going to make that much money when it comes to your share.

Another benefit of being a partner is your own youtube.com/yourUsername link, instead of youtube.com/user/etc. The system has changed since I became a partner, but it's generally easy to become one. Check out their docs youtube.com/yt/creators/partner.html

Well I applied for a partnership with Socialblade so we'll see what happens! As long as they don't force me to upload or any stuff like, I'll be happy

I worked so hard to get 1K subs before and now look at their requirements. It's quite disappointing.

Networks have their own set requirements.
IGN is the hardest. It requires 50,000 subscribers or so I read in the net.

UPDATE: I just now got a private message for a partnership with TGN on Youtube, even though I already took the necessary steps for a partnership with RPM Network through socialblade. Does anybody know which is better or if I should look into TGN over RPM?

RPM.
TGN never answers, Kahisys had alot of problems with them and i'll recommend you to join the RPM family :3

RPM = Fast and Reliable
TGN = Good but not that good. It's just my preference. But they pay higher though. I got $76 even though they cut i70% out of it. While on RPM, I only $73 even though they only get %40. But they will give you the money faster unlike TGN, it takes quite a while. And they are damn slow!
