It's a common question; I kept hearing my friends argue over which kind of graphics card is better. I personally use nVidia and it works well, no experience with ATI graphic cards though. So, what's your opinion?
And about Intel vs AMD, it's the same story. Which CPU is better? I use Intel, and it works well, and again, no experience with AMD.
Why am I asking this? I plan on building a PC from scratch (i.e. buy the separate parts and put them together) and I'm wondering which should I take, nVidia or ATI for GPU, Intel or AMD for CPU?
EDIT: Note that I plan my PC to be a gaming one (that at least supports games made in 2009 and before; my current PC won't support those because of the lack of that pixel shader 3.0 thing).
