Ive got turtle beaches X12. They are maybe 60-80 dollars I cant remember the price specifically.
But they have great sound quality in recording and the games you play sound amazing on them!

Which unless you also did Dual Commentary or Music Recording you may not have a need for, but of course the Snowball will be more expesnive than the Snowball Ice

I use my Rock Band mic. It's pretty swell.

I also use the X12s. The sound is awesome and the mic is pretty good.

If you want a mic that sits on your desk though, Blue Snowball or Yetis are always good. Obviously depending on your price range.

I'd consider how many views and such you have and get something to that effect. Someone like pewdiepie has a ton of fans and such, so he'd probably want the highest quality there is. Where as us people just getting started.... as long as we don't sound like static filled zombies... we'd be alright. Just like it says in the Pewdiepie technical FAQ, until you have a bigger fan base, don't just rush into spending the big bucks :P.

That being said, Turtle beach headset or Snowballs are pretty cheap for the quality. I'd personally recommend the X12s (or higher if you want wireless/higher quality) simply because gaming with a headset is awesome and it's convenient to not take up desk space.

^His old Carcharias headset got broken and he now owns a mic, so I don't see why he would buy another headset.xD And I'm looking for Samson CO1U in my country. Every place is currently out of stock which sucks so bad.:/

Everyone seems to be suggesting a really expensive microphone... all I ever use is a cheap, shitty little 99p one from ebay but I have a £10 pop filter (very similar to Pewdiepie's) and then I edit out any imperfections with a free piece of software called audacity :p unless you're a top end youtuber don't spend ridiculous sums of money on equipment you don't need!
