Nyctophobia Means The Fear of The Night and Darkness ... Nyctophobia is a New 2D Horror game like the style of to the Moon .. The game is totally Cool and it has a nice atmosphere.
Nyctophobia shouldn't be a real word, which it apparently is, but should definitely be a game, which it happily also is. Oh, and this word does describe the fear of the night and also a brand new, freeware, horror offering: Nyctophobia.
The game was created for GameJolt's 8th Contest and, as is the case with many jam games, isn't as polished as it could have been. There are small glitches, a few things that could have been done better and it could definitely use some extra work, but that's beside the point (the point being horror). Well, Nyctophobia, essentially a top-down exploration (light-) puzzle game, does horror both excellently and in a unique way, too. It plays with light, the controls, and sound, and it succeeds at creating a deeply atmospheric, unsettling and disorienting experience.
