I had that problem happen to me, what ive done in the passed is retrying it or opening fraps then amnesia. but ive had the same problem im not much help sorry

What framerate do you have Fraps to record at? If you are experiencing lag, try lowering the framerate Fraps records at and see if it helps. And no, running amnesia on windowed mode will not cause Fraps to record the whole screen. It will still just record the Amnesia window. Running the game in full screen may be the source of the lag issue.

First try running the game in windowed mode. If that doesn't fix it, try lowering the graphics on your game. If you still have issues, try lowering the framerate Fraps records at.

Hopefully one of those solutions will help.

From what I remember, Fraps works best if you assign the savefile to a hard drive that isn't running windows or the program. So if you have two, you could set the destination file to the second hard drive so that hard drive is dedicated to Fraps.

Or just do what I do and use Bandicam. Never lags for me. :3

I'd say don't use windows live maker if possible. It's not known to handle all file types real well, especially those with a high file size. But what do you mean by "stuck" exactly?
