So Iv been looking around and I cant really find anything tbh, maybe Im just blind but Im kind of moving towards giving up just because I cant find a way to get my videos smaller without losing the quality they have. Im using Sony vegas pro 11 but its only trial, and I dont know if it has anything to do with it. I have managed to get the files smaller, and they are about 10ish minutes long, but 1,8 gb big.. and this is too big to upload to youtube, Iv tried virtualdub along with Xvid encoder and K-lite mega pack(think it was called that), and it does not want to compress MP4 files as that is what I found was suggested to use in Vegas, which was right originaly the files were 5 minutes long and almost 4 gb so Vegas did reduce them a fair amount.
But if I choose to upload videos directly from vegas which I can.. but I dont feel comfortable giving out my account info and stuff to a program that I might not use, iv never been a fan of giving out my info, but eitherway it tells me that my file that is currently about 8 gb will be uploaded to youtube and take 84 mb.. but also take 9 hours, which I guess is because youtube itself will change the format and compress ? I dont know. But as for now my 10 minute vids are 1,8 gb MP4, and I need to reduce them further, anyone have any suggestions or know something that is free and will work? I do realise that the trial period will run out eventually, thats why I want to get going on this so I know I like doing it.
Many thanks in advance, and another thanks for helping out a complete noobie.
sincerly
