What graphics card are you using? Also i would suggest updating to 12.6 (im running that and i havent noticed any issues), and updating your audiodrivers too

That computer is not built for running BF3..
The gfx card is atleast 4 years old and the cpu is about 2 years old... I cant imagine you running it w/o problems however much you update the drivers

    Edit:
    Minimum requirements for Battlefield 3

    • OS: Windows Vista or Windows 7
    • Processor: Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or Althon X2 2.7 GHz
    • RAM: 2GB
    • Graphic card: DirectX 10 or 11 compatible Nvidia or AMD ATI card, ATI Radeon 3870 or higher, Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT or higher.
    • Graphics card memory: 512 MB
    • Sound card: DirectX compatibl sound card
    • Hard drive: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version

Recommended system requirements for Battlefield 3

    • OS: Windows 7 64-bit
    • Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
    • RAM: 4GB
    • Graphics card: DirectX 11 Nvidia or AMD ATI card, Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 or ATI Radeon 6950.
    • Graphics card memory: 1 GB
    • Sound card: DirectX compatibl sound card
    • Hard drive: 15 GB for disc version or 10 GB for digital version
Do note that with minimum its barely playable due to fps issues or other lag/bugs

"Althon X2 2.7 GHz" yours is at 1.8, almost 1 GHz lower
Your gfx card cant run DirectX11, i dont even think that it came out before your card
You clearly have no clue what graphics card memory is or you cant read.. the maximum amount of memory your card could possible have is 512MB

This game is really heavy on the gfx card, i cant even run all my settings on high with my card (in the sig), i need 2 cards or a Radeon HD 7970
