      Yes, we should totally have an irc channel. I don't want to create one myself because i feel like it should be up to Pewdie/the mods. But it would be great to talk to you other bro in real time, that shoutbox (or shittybox as it's called in the other forum i'm a member of ^^) isn't really ideal for chatting.

      So since i know some people will probably hate on this (as always), here are a few arguments:

      WHY AN BRO ARMY IRC?

      + You can chat with other users in real time, which makes communication much easier

      + You can choose if you want to chat via the browser (there's tons of irchighway web clients), or if you want to feel a bit pro a download a client that will also make everything easier for you (autoconnect, scripts etc.). I strongly recommend mIRC in this case.

      + Scripting is a vital part of many irc channels, and it creates many games that you can play in the channel. If you feel like this would make the channel flood, then simply create one game and one chat channel.

      + It's easy to use for noobs! If we provide them with a proper link, they just have to click it, choose a nickname and voila!

      + I've seen that many people want to learn swedish, and then the irc channel would be even more important! The swedes (including me) would be able to teach you in real time and you can test your skills on us (you will fail >>: D).

      And... I created one anyway! Only for the haters, so that you could test it ^^ If Pewdie of the mods agree, then i'll gladly give the channel to them.

      Choose a nickname, press connect
      [YOU MIGHT HAVE TO DO THIS IN COMPATIBILITY VIEW]

      For not so much noobs:
      Connect to irc.irchighway.net in your irc client
      Join #Bro-Army (I shouldn't have to tell you how to do that :P)

    • People won't visit the IRC channel. The shoutbox is used because it's at an obvious place, causing many users to read the stuff written there and also post something.

      Using an IRC wouldn't get too much chatting users, because most of them are quite lazy, as my Analytics shows me.

      I think it really depends on the channel and the users on the channel. A broarmy channel might very well be really active, seeing as it's a place for the bros to chat, not for a specific topic 'cause some mods are really strict about staying on topic on channels that have been made for idk, cats.

      I myself am very strongly for the IRC channel, I'm an active IRC user and I find it easier to keep track of the conversations, no matter how active they are if they're on IRC.
      Plus my internet connection is really slow so the lag time on the chatbox is incredible.
