  • Getting started on Let's Play HELP!

Hey bros, I have fraps and sony vegas and i can work with the two of them pretty well.

But I need help finding a good webcam/audio recorder because i can't can't seem to find any i googled it like 1000x times xD
And i have another question what's your advice to record it all starting in the same time so I don't lose that much of a time editing the webcam and game play so they can be in sync

    Thanks bros *brofist* :D

If you want something rather cheap for audio recording then you can buy a headset such as Turtle Beach or Astro. As for webcam, really all you need to do is go to different online stores, amazon, ebay, etc. And type in "high quality webcam" in the search bar if that is what you are going for.

As for syncing, unless the program you use to capture the webcam has a hotkey option for starting the capture to where you can set both programs to the same hotkey, you are kind of out of luck and have no choice but to sync everything up during the editing process.

I'm not sure of any programs that have that. I'm sure most programs that capture audio and video may have it, just a matter of going into the settings.

Audicity has it but you must be with the window opened to do so :/
  • Camtasia is good, but not for games. I strongly (imo) suggest PlayClaw. Fraps rocks too if you have a big amount of disk space, but the same quality comes from PlayClaw, and it's only 1 GB for 10 minutes of playing, as Fraps with same options is 3 GB in 1 minute! (This is just for me). For webcam record I suggest the ol Movie Maker. it's simple, but you have to edit it to sync completely. The facecam can be put in with Sony Vegas Pro 11 easily.
Keep calm and SHAKE IT LIKE A MOTHERF***ER

    Meeeeeeeeehhh...

I know camtasia sucks for game records but i'm recording with fraps and im just going to edit all out so, but camtasia is easy to edit that's what i liked about it :D
