  • Computer went pitch black

Hey guys, recently my Toshiba Satellite L355D-02P01D had it's screen messed up. When I turned it on, the CPU and such works perfectly, but the Screen itself showed no sign of electricity. So if anyone knows this problem, please reply. I also tried the whole "Pull out battery and cable wire, hold power button for 30+ seconds, and plug In the cable and battery".
English grammar is probably the hardest thing to learn in a language. In other words, please excuse any bad grammar that comes from me.

You know if it's pitch black you can just format it :) but be sure that there are no important information in that computer like your billing information or so and if there is just take it out and Roleplay as one of your favorite video game characters and DESTROY IT
Hope I'm being more helpful than eury

    I don't like john green's books
  • I will take it to get fixed, people thinks its just the screen light being a little messed up. Great thing I saved my most important Flash work into my external terrabyte hard drive.

Reformatting it won't work if the screen isn't coming on. You need to at least be able to see it posting to BIOS to access a boot CD in the first place.
I'm with everyone else, I think it's either shorted out or the backlight has gone out on it. You probably haven't lost everything, you just need to take it somewhere
and get them to look over it. The only problem is, people typically charge outrageous prices for laptop repair due to its tedious nature.
