So, Breath of Fire is a RPG series with dragons and lots of furries . They are traditionally turnbased except for the last one.

Breath of Fire I (SNES/GBA)

Not that interesting. It's pretty generic and the other games are better, I guess.
It's a story of a young dragon guy called Ryu trying to find his lost sister.

Breath of Fire II (SNES/GBA/Virtual Console)

The gameplay is pretty frustrating and the translation is hilariously bad.
It's about a dragon guy called Ryu (not the same one) battling against monsters and finding out the secret behind a mysterious church.
It has some disturbing scenes in both tragic and humorous ways.

Breath of Fire III (PS1/PSP)

It's pretty good, but maybe not in a let's play way.
It's about yet another Ryu who gets in trouble because his friends are thieves.

Breath of Fire IV (PS1/PC/PSN)

You can probably already guess who the main character is.
This time, the poor guy is found naked in a desert and doesn't have a clue who he is.
You also get to play as the bad guy sometimes.
There are some WTF moments.

Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter (PS2)

I haven't played this game. I hear it's a very hard game.
In fact, it encourages you to start the whole game over when you die.
The battle system mixes turnbased and real time elements.
It's a post-apocalyptic game.
