How to install a HL mod

Edit: it says half life 2 but it is the same as Half life 1

1. Its not that hard.
2. I'm assuming you are under the age of 12 to not know how to do this by yourself
3. Get Half-Life 1(1999)
4. Download Afraid of Monsters: Director's Cut and install. Simple.
5. Figure things out yourself before you go on to ask someone else to help/do it for you


EDIT: Hyper, he means HALF-LIFE 1. Afraid of Monsters is NOT a HALF-LIFE 2 MOD.

I don't have Steam version of Half Life but I can install Afraid of Monster Director's Cut without any problem

If he doesn't have it on Steam then you aren't allowed to help him since its most likely a pirated copy then. The older keys from HL1 got also hooked ot the steam database making them available to the cloud.

-.- you NEED HL1 on steam thats why

1. Buy and Install Half-Life 1 on Steam
2. Run Half-Life 1 at least once (Just load the training room)
3. Download Afraid of Monsters: Directors Cut
4. Open the Installer
5. When it asks where you want to install it, select wherever where you installed your computer, then go to "Program Files, Steam, steamapps, "yoursteamusername", half-life"
6. Start installing
7. Done!

That's a little harsh

Its hard to help when the person who is asking for it does not explain his problem nor does he give us any complete information.
