Stupid Question About The Eggs

Do they hatch into those big lizard/dino/dragons or just stay eggs?
Yeah stupid question, but they creatures match the egg colors and I haven't gotten to a high enough level to say either way.
So would love to know. Thank you.

As tcikotci said, they're simply eggs you put down in your room. Whatever you pay will be the same thing forever. :V
