I consider battlefield 3 a mediocore fps.
But I consider Battlefield 1942 a good game.
So battlefield 3 will be terrible.

Battlefield 3 was quite good and actually a good move... but because EA now tasted money, they want more.

oh well , after they made BF3...
They came with back to karkand , which was quite good.
Then they came with the Close Quarters mappack , which was dull as hell (EA stating it would be fun to play small maps , but the truth is that they wanted minimum effort for the mapcreation and as much money as possible)
Then they came with Battlefield premium , which is like CoD:Elite but without the feature like Elite being for VIPS only (Battlelog is free).
Then they came with the perk/weapon packs , which you can buy instead of playing a lot with the vehicle/class.
Then they came with that you could hire a server (useless if you ask me , raging admin abuses like fuck. Like I was sniping from a mountain , and he slayed me for camping ON THE PS3!)
Faith in EA lost , and will always be lost.

While I don't like this partcluclar choice. At the end of the day, EA is a company, companies make money by exploiting/noticing a influx of behavior in a partciar genre. Ea thinks that Battlefield can compete with COD, that being said they need to enforce as many things possible to make battlefield become a household name. Such as possibly every year releases, similar cod map packs.
Their not evil, they are just a gaming company, which use marketing tricks just like everyone else. -

And a quite idiotic one, besides CoD and BF are like not even similar. Since CoD brings arcade styled multiplayer with overpowered powerups (killstreaks) and BF just wants to make the experience as "realistic" as possible meaning big fights , teamplay and a shitload of features.
If this is their marketing , then they are clearly failing on it , since more and more people are stepping away from this bs.

Every battlefield game is getting closer and closer to becoming a COD game. It's pretty much already set that battlefield is trying to give players a realistic arcade experience. (Ex: close quaters map pack). Battlefield can go either ways:
Become entirely different and be a COD remake : Piss of oringal fans
Do the same thing Battlefield has done : Make a Battlefield remake with better features and graphics ect : Piss of new fans,possibly cod fans (bigger market)
Either way they shot themselves in the foot when they said they could compete with cod, cause they can only become another cod or think up something entirely revolutionary to the gaming world. -

Publisher has absolutely NOTHING to do with the developers. EA ain't forcing or telling DICE to do shit, the cards are in their hands. I haven't played nor will play Battlefield 3 to be honest. Being aware of your figuratively thoughts about the Battlefield series is just silly anyways.
Grow the fuck up and take your time to realize what you say won't do shit to the development. -
