Well surprised that this isn't on a thread yet but there is a new console coming out in March 2013 called OUYA

It will be android based and will be mostly made for anyone to create an indie game, They are going to get minecraft and twitch.tv on it. Most games will be free to play or will at least have a demo and you could actually buy the game for the full version. Even though it is a android based system if you root it (some people will know what that means) it won't void the warranty however you can't get access to the game store if said system is rooted. Best part is it will only be about 80 euros Also the game is completely funded by fans here Kickstarter of OUYA I donated towards it and hope you do too

Actually it says the gamestore won't be available if it is rooted

Also I do believe it does have a chance of failing but however it shows it might not since the games will be cheap/free also the system is cheap, This system is also being backed up by nVidia which also shows it has a chance

you don't know the good ol .apk trick with android phones? They are so stupid for making it run on Android , their security against Piracy is nil. :V . They should have thought about it.

xD true I don't have exactly the most legal apps.. but they will probably find some way around it... the USB may not even be able to transfer files, but I'm not sure

Aslong it has a WiFi connection and/or bluetooth , it will be easy as hell. xD

xD very true.. well would be hard to prevent it cause all games will be downloaded since there is no plans for a disk tray

Really do I agree, I love to do indie gaming. I do have high hopes for it... did email their "press" email asking some questions.. Will update if they respond
