They just blocked it for me and you wont be able to monetize again.
You are allowed to monetize LP's. But they cant contain copyright stuff.
I never had a copyright strike and will never have, so i will forever stay uninformed by that

Well, I just tried monetizing all of my videos that I could on and about 7 out of 40 came back right away as reviewed and okayed for it 0_0 There are others under review. The "no games" thing in their policies is really confusing me now.

Finally someone who actually has common sense and work for his money instead of being like IZ NEED ERNZ MUNNEH UN YOUTUB SINZ IT WEEL HALP ALOT. If you want money , go get a REAL job. simple as that. xD




Everything in a game is copyrighted , but youtube has a weird policy which allows you to use the music (etc.) (in-gamemusic) in games without getting striked etc. aslong it is in the game. But if you use a copyrighted song for your montage , then you are quite screwed.

Well, I have this third matched party because of a damn credits song in Alan Wake. I disputed it, and still no reply.

Youtube , a weird clusterf*ck with rules that don't even make sense.

Actually they just disable mine for monetization, they don't give me any strikes or anything! So its like 50% chance of getting money from it, if not then meh you don't get money from it and i don't get any strikes on my channel - simple as.

I'm only 18 as well haha, I'm not trying to make youtube my only job since i go to University(hopefully soon) and i do work as well, youtube is just a huge hobby! That is also nice to get a little bit of money from as well

Youtube is a very good hobby for me. And I'm glad I became a partner because I need the income to upgrade my internet so it means, more videos.:D

And yes, Youtube has this rules that never make sense.:))

Hmmmm....I read somewhere that demos are fine but you need to have commentary before and after the video to make it like yours.

Apparently so long as their is constant review or commentary, video game footage use can fall under the fair use clause of copyright law. Just make sure you're talking at ALL times.

Fair Use is fine for videogames so long as you offer a running commentary, then it counts as a walkthrough. You dont have to talk at all times, but you cant just talk every now and again.

Music is a different, and entirely more confusing matter.

I'd love to get my channel partnered somewhere but I still need more views and subs yet! I'm growing consiistently though, which is really encouraging.
