A bit about BogStandardGames. We are a group of friends who decided to make a channel together to show off our...show we say, weirdness and originality.
And we do this through the wonderful power of Youtube and Gaming! (We play BogStandardGames for your amusement)
Now we know there is a lot of gaming channels out there, but we offer content that is somewhat different, original and just plain crazy.

We upload every single day, we have been for a long while now. Our content differs from others because we don't focus on one particular game. We upload many many different games and play-through's you will see something new every day. We also vlog our strange days out, such as Comic Con for example!
See, we like to think our odd, really weird and unique personalities differ to other channels out there to really stand out above the crowd!

Our thumbnails are somewhat funny, weird and unique (depending on what game) I like to think our intro's are short, sweet and strange to give you that extra little bit of interest before you watch the video. (example thumbnail from one of our videos)

We put so much effort into our channel and think we are unrecognized to say the least, which I am sure there is a lot of channels that have that problem too.
But one look at our channel and hopefully you'll see the hard work and dedication that the guys working on our channel do for our subscribers!

BogStandardGames would one day be able to release a clothing range, our channel art is somewhat retro and oldschool gaming so the clothing (for example t-shirts) will have the BSG logo in 8-bit writing with other cool retro stuff on it! (just an example)

About me and my submission:
My name is Patrick and I run a YouTube gaming channel (Who doesn't these days, right...) with close to 2.3K subscribers right now.
I've been doing it for over two years now, with the usual ups and downs of course.
It used to be all about Minecraft, but I've decided to get up, be a MAN, and play some other games as well (On my second channel that is, but that one doesn't have enough subscribers)
We've also got a little group with a lot of people with lots of different content and games!
The reason why I tell you about the second channel, is that I want you to know that I don't just do Minecraft. I am extremely busy and active on both channels so I can upload and provide the viewers with both daily Minecraft video's and Gaming video's on the two channels.

Now my personal story. My parents divorced, It all included a lot of violence and I became very unhappy, depressed, even.
I never knew what I wanted to do in my future. I started college two years ago but I quit because I simply became more and more unhappy and depressed.
I'm a person that likes to help out other people, make someone's day better and brighter because I know how much that can mean as I've been there myself..
And if I had more 'influence' on YouTube I'd definitely help other people's channels grow and improve because I just really like to help and make people happy (Also the main reason why I'm doing YouTube, making people happy, even if it is for a short amount of time.)
I am studying at home now, but YouTube is the thing that's on my mind all the time.. I really wanna make the most of it. I've literally spend all my money on a proper gaming PC, microphone and of course all the games I use for content.

To be fair, I don't even try it anymore with other channels that have a bigger audience than me as they most of the time don't even bother reading/replying to these kind of messages, but you always seem so down to earth and such a nice and humble person that I trust you enough to share all of this with. And I think you prove that I'm right by doing these contests, so thank you, from the bottom of my heart..

I don't even care about YouTube money, and I mean that. It's such a cliche thing to say and of course it would be freaking awesome to do this as a job, but more because you would actually get into a position to help people grow and improve their own channels, do loads for charity, make people smile and help people out who are finding themselves to be in some dark places at this moment in their life.

So yeah, nothing more I can say.. I just hope you read this and understand why I want to do this. Why I decided to give up everything to try and make this work.
I get up at 8 in the morning, work my ass off to get 2 quality video's out every single day and I love it to bits. Usually, combined with school and all that, I'm occupied from 8 to 8, but it's more than worth it. So I hope you see the dedication and willpower that's there to do and love this.. I try to improve myself everyday, both as a YouTuber and a person.
