I would link to a clip of a show that actually says how Jelly Belly makes gross jelly beans. But I don't want to get in trouble for linking to other youtube videos. The short answer is YES a person does taste actual earwax and baby-wipes and such to get it close to possible to the real thing. And you know how you smell something and you can kinda taste that smell..... yeah.... that's how they make dirty boot and poop and gross stuff like that; by going off that smell-taste. (I guess.... I really don't think they actually taste vomit or dog poo)
