I recorded some video game footage once. I used a Dazzle DVC-170 with my late 2014 model iMac, downloaded Elgato Video Capture from their website because it works better than the included disc (audio doesn't lag much), but I had to connect the console to the computer and TV using splitters so I could see the game in real time while the capture software was capturing. I can fix the audio no problem, but if I want to do proper vids, I need to either fix the Blue Snowball microphone that recently got damaged (mic unit will not stay on its stand) or get a new expensive microphone setup that can work with ancient camcorders as well as my Mac.
And please, don't go all Windows PC elitist on me. Both Mac and PC can operate just as well for their models.

"I'm just an awesome artist looking for a big break. In the meantime, I enjoy video games... somewhat."
