      First off, have you watched the first one? It's important if you want to understand this one. Basically, in the first one the "normal" ending is the following: the boys and girls who survived manage to escape from the haunted school but, once in the "real world", they find out that nobody can remember anything about the ones who died in the school... they simply had no memories about them. But there was a wrong ending in which they escaped from the school entering a time loop, so they woke up in the same morning of that exact day. Only Satoshi seems to remember what happened, so he tries to stop them, but they don-t believe him and do the charm again. Here's a video: Corpse Party: Chapter 5 - Wrong End 6 ★8 - YouTube.
      So this game is a sequel to that wrong ending, but it starts from the end, in which they escaped again, this time in the "correct way", and Naomi can't deal with the fact that nobody remembers about Seiko. Then Naomi has a flashback, as you thought.
      At least that's how I think things go.

      Would prefer using the voices from the game though, might give even more eerier atmosphere, don't get me wrong, your own voice over is top notch! ;D, but I'd like to hear at least one episode with the voice acting from the game.

    • The lack of voice acting was honestly a disappointment, but not enough to stop watching. If there was some subpar Dubbing involved, then i would be 100% okay with Pewds reading. Unlike in majority of the countries all over the world, voice acting in Japan is highly regarded occupation and there is over 100 schools just for that purpose.

      Of course, everyone has their personal opinions and bias when it comes to Japanese VA vs Dubbing, but it really makes the experience that much more authentic.

      No, there are a few different possible endings to the first game. The good ending has all of the remaining people who didn't die go back to their world.
      This game, however, is a sequel to one of the bad endings of the first game, as far as I understand (that's what I read on the Corpse Party Wiki). In this ending, all of them (even the dead ones) were sent back to their world but they don't have any memory of what happened so they perform the ritual again. Only Satoshi still remembers all that happened and tries to stop them, but fails to convince them so he goes with the others back to the closed spaces to try and save them. Basically, Corpse Party - Book of Shadows is a time reset of the first game, everything happens all over again, just that Satoshi still remembers the first time they went there and now Naomi also remembers it.

    • First things first, those things you describe as porno are japan things, especially in anime, so deal with it and stop complaining, you know you want it XD
      You said seiko and naomi weren't that close in first series..... of coz,, they didn't even have much time to spend together and seiko died, so how were they suppose to do anything like this??? but i suppose you could actually tell they're close and seiko really love naomi already from the first series, couldn't you?
      BTW i'm so glad you started it finally, and yeah we'd love to have voice back plz :)!!!!
      Also, corpse party is(more like)a visual novel than a game juz fyi

      Correct but not all chapters are to do with that alternate timeline - some chapters are events that happened before and after the events of Corpse Party as said in my post page 21. The chapters that happen during the event is most likely following that alternate timeline where they are in a time loop

      Seiko is weird, I know, but she would be an amazing friend, you would never find a friend like her! Wish I had a friend like her...

      This video was long, I thought I would get tired of it, but I was watching until 4 A.M., and now I'm waiting forever for the next video
