I feel like a lot of the electronic sounds in the background are crosswalk alarms. I'd just recently discovered, through various animes, a catchy tune that'd play in the background while carousing through Tokyo. It intrigued me so after some research, I'd unexpectedly learned quite a bit about Japanese crosswalk sounds.

By the way, those noisy cars passing by were political candidates^^ (if that's how they're called)
And yeah! We japanese people have AMAZING vending machines so you never have to worry about the taste.
