      Hey Guys, I am a Web Developer/Designer.
I got into Web Design by being OCD about the websites I created in the past. It annoyed me that they didn't look professional... so the only logical thing was to teach myself design of course. And one of my favorite things to do is look around on pintrest, awwwards, or any other site to see what other people are creating. Let's start a thread for that here and showcase all the cool stuff you've made.

      Few Set of Rules:
      1. No Bashing Someone's Design. Though so may be better than others, bashing someone's hard work is never ok. However, constructive critique is. (Which leads us to Rule #2)
      2. Be able to take someone's critique of your website/design. None of us can get better if people don't point out flaws. We all love our designs, and get defensive but let's use this as a platform to get better.
      3. Obviously original content please... if you want to showcase a website/design that isn't yours please make it obvious in the post.

Besides all that, let's just have fun!

Here are a couple of my designs:

      Cheers mates.

    • I have one somewhere I had made for college like a year ago. Turned out pretty nice without any usage of PHP/javascript and such (besides the coinslider in it.). Looked quite awesome in my opinion. This was before I had any programming knowledge regarding PHP/Javascript etc.

However, I chose a different specilization regarding media-development and chose for game-development in general.

Hopefully I can find some screenshots of it once I get home though.

Cool! I have a few more, I'd just have to find a link to a couple of them. The ones I don't have posted are from when I worked as the front-end designer for a real estate website company. Was plenty of fun, learned a lot about Wordpress, haha not sure how much I remember though.
    • Found it (sorry that I didn't post it earlier.). Sadly, the coin-slider is totally broken and I don't feel like downloading the package again. I think it's broken due to the fact the package is protected or something. The shizzle was for a college thingy and I basically overdone it quite to be honest. The teacher thought I had stolen a lot of content (code) from other websites and such as I was really amazing compared to the others (I was actually the only one in the class who styled his website with CSS as others just worked with tables (lol)). I think the website itself is quite sexy for someone who just gained some knowledge quickly from the web following and ditching 1 tutorial.

The bottom neon thingies at the bottom actually scrolled up when you hovered your mouse over it. It actually came there due to an 'error', but I thought it looked awesome. Too bad you can't see it here though.

I wish I actually had the time to make a wordpress theme for my gamedev portfolio though, but sadly I do not have the time nor I really feel like doing so. xD

    • For your first website you made in a class that is really good! Haha yea, no one who takes a web development type of class EVER takes the initiative to learn a little CSS to make their website look 100x more professional. One hour of learning CSS is all it takes really to get a one better letter grade.

I am planning to start a side project here soon on making a new kind of CMS that utilizes Express.JS/Node.JS as the back-end and Parse.com as the Database, in order to create a CMS that would be easier to style/design templates and add custom plug-ins for. As WordPress can be confusing as crap...

Don't know how much time I will have to dedicate to that project :P but just an idea I have.

      --------------------

Edit: I was able to grab a screenshot of one of the three wordpress themes I made about a year ago... However, I don't think I'll be able to recover the last two.

Looks really nice, although I am personally not really fond of responsive themes to be honest.

May I ask why? 95% of End-Users will only experience a change if they change what device they are on. But the ability to give your user's a better experience depending on their screen size I think is invaluable. If I change my screen to be half the width of my monitor, so I can view two windows at once and the website changes so nothing is overflowing on the x-axis (horizontally) my ability to use the site efficiently improves drastically.
