Same! I found out about Pewdiepie back in 2012 when I was a really hardcore Tobuscus fan. When Toby did The Happy Wheels LP there were a bunch of comments saying "You're copying Pewdiepie" and so I checked his channel.

At first, I actually disliked Pewdie, and went back to Tobuscus. After giving it another shot, I got addicted, I think one of the first LPs I watched from him was The Walking Dead Really glad I became a Bro!

I was a bro since when I was born.

Well i became one because of my friend.
When I invited my friends over to play some couch co-op games one of them had the idea of watching something on youtube instead. Majority of us never really used youtube since it seems like a really ehhh type of place. By ehh i mean like, I don't enjoy watching videos of cats or other people failing, it gets boring you know?
But my friend insisted and so we gathered around our tv that was connected to our cpu and watched someone called Pewdiepie. I remember the montages got me hooked since they showed the best of pewdiepie. I never knew this kind of stuff was on youtube. All of us laughed at his happy wheels videos and horror ones. We all loved it and subscribed (I don't know when they did but they told me they are subbed to him). I subscribed when he had 1 million views cause i saw that his videos were entertaining.
After pewdiepie I began looking for other fun people to watch on youtube. Since i loved video games I found mainly game channels. The ones that I find are as funny like pewds is KYRSP33DY. <-- Plays for fun with his friends. Together they are a crew and now I love calling my group of friends and me a crew lol. He has two channels a mine craft one, where he plays mine craft with the crew, and his main where he plays loads of games together with his crew. Anyway by watching pew die pie I stopped watching Tv - never really found entertaining- and began watching youtube on my spare time.
If you guys want you could Check Kyr sp33dy a.k.a Sp33y's channel, Vash12349, Jontron, or Game Grumps if you have any spare time. Hopefully you'll love them just as much as Pewds.

Dark times call for calling friends up and eating pizza and ice cream and watching youtube.
Basically I was going through some difficulties, and long story short, the pewds videos helped me out.

Waaaay back when Youtube was only used for Funniest Home Videos (I think it's only me though.) is when my Bro suggested for me to check out Pewdiepie. Pewdie at the time barely had about 100,000 Bros (CRAZY ON HOW LONG IT WASS!!) so I went to one of his first Montages of Amnesia... and MY GOD THEY CRACKED ME UUUUP SO MUCH. I watched more and more of his videos, mostly montages, then to his playthroughs. The first one I watched was... cannot remember... but all I remember was him starting screaming and running away from a Bro in Amnesia and held that scream for a while XD.

I used to really like Toby Turner (Tobuscus) and used to read all the hate comments about how Toby was copying pewdiepie so I thought after a while, who the hell is pewdiepie? So, I searched for him and started watching the compilations. I nearly pee'd with laughter and was hooked ever since. I find him hilarious.me and my husband watch his videos every night before we go to sleep and it cheers us up after a hard day's work.

I started watching Pewd's vids in 2011, was scared as hell to watch the Amnesia game plays, but I sorta got over it and since then I've been enjoying his vids

Back in 2012, my best friend was chatting to me about how awesome Pewdiepie was. I wanted to check him out so that night myself and my best friend spent about 5 hours watching his amnesia and the grudge videos laughing until we can't breathe xD The next day I showed about 10 of my other friends and they are all bros today too Ever since then I have watched his videos everyday, and coincidentally I'm wearing my Pewdiepie top now :3

I watched a video of his just before he exploded with subs and couldn't remember who it was so I went looking for it but alas was unable to find it, so i just thought " let's see whats the most popular channel at the moment" that was like a year ago and found a video similar and it was Pewdiepie

I originally didn't start off watching Pewds when it came to Let's Players on YT. I first started watching "TheRadBrad" 3/4 years ago (which I still do) and he was doing a Nightmare House 2 play through (but I started off watching him do Dead Space 2) and during his play through he mentioned Pewdiepie was doing the Penumbra LP and through the shout out he asked everyone to look him up. So my first LP wasn't his COD or Amnesia, but Penumbra and I became a "bro" almost instantly. I followed Cry a year later and then Ken a year after that. Then it was just a following and searching of YTers ever since.

It's not something you can just explain cause it just happens, just like with everything you become a fan of.

The true is , I don't remember , LOL , But I can say that I am a Bro and you guys are my family, Pewds is big bro (May be :v ) I just remember that when i saw him on youtube, I though "Hey, this guy is funny" then I realize one thing, whenever he plays he play with bro , when I watch I play with him. I don't know but Pewds has found the way to conect with the viewer and we bro are his companion. So I dont remember when I become a bro but I am a bro now :)))

I believe I became a bro around the 60k sub vid, just always loved his positivity and attitude.

I saw a guy screaming with a girl voice at something not very scary in the dark. 10/10 would watch again.

I bit on the funny as hell skate 3 videos, then got hooked with the Wolf Among Us playthrough. But to be honest, I was born a Bro.

Thanks to my friend. She linked one of his videos and thanks of that POOF! I'm became a bro! It's almost 3 years that i'm a bro, i think in that time Poods has 300.000 subs and yah. I'm very proud and happy to be a bro. Henmake my day better everytime and without him i'm not the person who you see now writing this thing

I don't think it has been a year since I've been a bro... I think it was. I can't remember! >w<

But I decided to check him out after seeing my friends talk about him a lot and suggest watching his videos to me (and themselves). I did that, and I regret nothing! c:
