      Alright, now I guess I'll be making your post's counterpart.

      My personal view point :
      Dubs is good if you do not know how to read or can't bother reading or can't stand japaneese ( if you do then don't even watch animes but watch cartoons )
      The only decent dub I can find is the one used for Spice & Wolf, in all the animes I watched this is the only decent one comparing it to the original sub.

      Now let's look at it in a general way :
      Dub's positive points :
      If you lack of english oral understanding it is a perfect training.
      If you can't bother reading or don't want to hear the japaneese voices.
      Can be easier to find in markets in case you buy it.

      While Dub's negative points are :
      There is a total lack of "voice tone" the original raw version has, killing off some interesting moments changing even at points the show.
      Can't be trained in english writing ( wich is hardest than oral to me ).
      Most of the voice actors do not even have the right age and so voice tone to correctly make the character's voice.
      Have you learn ( if you are interested in it ) some Japaneese.
      The sentences in the dub are often changed, possibly changing even the meaning of it while way less in the sub.
      Easier to find subs than dubs on the net as it is mostly fan made.

      There are more points but I don't want to introduce them here.

    • But. I kinda think this isn't a safe convo. As some people like to push there opinions, and say they are fact. -Now I'm not saying that's whats going on here. I'm just talking from past experiences. Like I had a friend down right insulted me cause I don't watch subs-

      People just need to know that Anime is fun and at its best in what ever language, and format you prefer it in. There is no Fun or unfun. Best or worst. All it is, is a bunch of opinions.

      I was just generalising it for people who might still have doubts.

      Lets just say I can't even talk about anime with most of my friends. Cause of the general hate on Dubbing.

      I think generally people think that dubs might not sound as good to them due to the voice actors... But that's just my opinion :barrel:

      I like romance, drama, and comedy, but I'm not into the harem genre as well, hahaha! The number of anime that I consider my favorites is pretty small, though. The list includes Mekakucity Actors (By the way, I freaking like the Kagerou Project VERY VERY MUCH, so much that it's my most favorite Japanese series!), Puella Magi Madoka Magica (I need to watch the freaking anime itself rather than just looking up info on TV Tropes...), and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun!

      Well, let me give you some hope: You got yours truly here who likes to be kind and respectful to a person even if they hold opinions that are freaking annoying. Also, please remind me to pull myself together if I ever forget to be kind and respectful! I know that I might slip at times, and I don't think I can keep myself together all by myself!

      Ah, and by the way, I don't think dubbed anime is a bad idea! I actually find it fun to hear how dubs go, especially if they're of my favorite anime! Well, some people may not like dubs, but hey, I can't control how others think, and they have their reasons. No need to disrespect others' existences, though. An opinion and an existence are two different things, y'know! ^^

      Anyway, yeah, I hope these words of mine would lighten up your days here! If you feel like no one would be friendly to you while you hold your honest opinion on stuff, then turn that "0" into "1," 'cause I wanna understand you and be your friend! (Even if I'm kinda freaking awkward and crazy-sounding at times, ahaha...)
