    Hey guys,

    I'm having problem with the file size.

    So long story short after I edited my video (SowBros Channel) and rendered it the size of an 14min video is 120GB ? in after effects. The format I used it avi because If i use any other format its out of sync ! Please Help. Maybe I should be using After Effects to add text and other animations to my videos. What Program is pewdiepie using to add text and pic's into his montage videos ? I know hes using Adobe premiere Pro for the basic editing.

    Hey man! To answer about the file size stuff.. I use Vegas Pro 12. When I do test renders I always choose Internet Video 720p (I record in 720p). The file type it comes out as is a .mp4. If you haven't tried using .mp4 in AE I'd suggest trying/ using it. If it doesn't work try out Vegas Pro 12 (fast and easy download/ install).

    As to what Felix uses I have no idea. :s

    How do you find Vegas Pro 12 ? can you do all the crazy effects like in AE ? or is it more like Adobe Premiere Pro (simple crop the video stuff )?

    Im asking because im looking for a software that can do keying and more picture and text animations into my videos.

  • After Effects is not for a full length video. After Effects is for Premiere.
    After Effects as the name might have given it away, is for the effect shots. If you want to do effects, animations, etc.
    For a let's play "video maker", after effects is useless/not necessary. Checked your video and I honestly can't tell what effects you were talking about.
    For you, Sony Vegas/ Adobe Premiere might be the best shot. Well,there's Hitfilm Ultimate as well bzt is the same as After Effects except it can be used for editing as well rather easily.
    (To be honest you can edit in AE as well but it's way longer and it was not intended to be used for a long video but rather for special effect shots )
    So in short: Sony Vegas or Premiere. (If you are a student you can get Premiere for cheaper I think, if not, Hitfilm Ultimate might be your next best shot, it's really cheap for what it's worth)

  • Felix uses Adobe Premiere Pro CC, as do I for video editing. I export in 720p usually in H.264 @ a 8mbps bitrate. I absolutely HATE using Sony Vegas. If you prefer it, go with that. I recommend using a trial of Premiere and see how it works for you. Have fun!
