    • "Sky...?" Kin tugged on Skylar's arm, worried about her apparent freezing in time. "Sky! S-snap out of it!"
      With hir attention focused on Sky, Kin did not notice hir own shadow's behavior. It "detached" itself from the floor, for lack of a better word, and began floating behind the green-haired kid.

      Kin was now starting to tear up. S/he thought Sky was turning to stone or something.
      Without warning, the shadow tackled Kin. Right as Kin hit the ground, both s/he an the shadow disappeared in a puff of smoke-like substance, hir yelp of surprise and fear echoing in the room.

      You know, most people call me insane...
      That's what happens when I try to reason with people, they don't like it, and I eventually end up turning them to charcoal in the end...

      *everything flashed before my eyes once I made a sudden and unintentional eye contact with the horned figure even before Kin referred to it. That same glare sent my brain into a state where it wasn't one with the current time and place but wrapped into a foggy memories and fantasy images of place that seemed to be at the same place, but opposite of it's current condition* Who are all these people...I don't know... *suddenly feel a strong hit on the head and somebody's yelp that sounded familiar* K-Kin... *"imaginary" hit on the head caused me to snap out of it cracking one of the mirrors in the room in process* What the hell? *look down and see Kin pretty scared which at that point kinda reminded of my younger sister* Kin! *approach and pick hir up hugging hir in sister-like manner forgetting I just met the little one* It's ok. You're fine. *stroke hir hair* What happened?
      On the outside I may appear like an emotionless sarcastic piece of shit, but just like an onion, when you peel off more layers, you find the exact same thing every single time and you start crying.

    • Kin's world was darkness. After being abducted by hir own shadow, the child saw nothing but darkness all around.

      Well, what have we here? Decided to just walk in, ignoring all the signs?
      Kin began hearing voices in hir head, and was suitably freaked out by this fact.

      "W-what's happening?! Where am I?! Tell me! I don't know what's going on!"

      Oh, do shut up. And pay close attention, now. I DON'T WANT YOU HERE. GET. OUT. That goes for the other idiots, too. If even one person's still here by midnight, I'll rip out your tongues and use them to lick my stamps, along with other unpleasantries. Are we clear?

      "C-crystal!"

      Good... NOW GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!
      "Aieeee!"

      Oh, before I forget. Mind the other stuff while you're leaving. I can't remember how long it's been since I last fed them.

      The next thing Kin knew, s/he had landed painfully upon a hard, cold floor, and soon after found hirself being hugged by a semi-familiar woman.
      Kin looked up, seemingly on the verge of tears.

      "S-sky, you're..." It was then that Kin's resolve cracked, and immediately those tears began to fall. S/he definitely needed that hug.
      "It's... It's going to kill us all! I don't wanna die, Sky! I don't want anyone to die!"

      Kin was then reduced to a mess, incapable of coherent speech as s/he openly cried into Sky's shoulder.

Something contacted you, didn't it? *smile reassuringly and speak calmly not revealing own fears* Nonsense. No one will die. We will just find everyone else and get out of here as soon as possible. You were right, we made a mistake. But I will make sure to get you safe and sound out of here ok? *rub Kin's back* Nothing bad will happen to you. I won't allow it, I promise. *look around* Now, do you think this will be piece of cake? Or must we work hard for our way out of here?

      S/he then wiped the tears away from hir eyes. "You're right... We can still get out of here! The voice said we have 'til midnight. The door's right there, and nothing's keeping us here. We just need to bring the others."
      "And..." Kin looked around, seeing nobody else. "They're not here..."

      Seconds passed.

      "Um... Sky? Do you have any clue where they might've gone?" S/he asked hopefully.
