Need help with a computer

Hello everyone!!
I have to decide for a computer i am going to get.
I will mainly use it for gaming purposes (and maybe video editing/recording)
And i will like to know what you think about these computers.

If u find better ones, let me know!!

16 GB ram
2 TB harddrive
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (1,5GB)
HDMI- and DVI-
4x USB 3.0
6x USB 2.0

Windows 8

PC 2 : (HP ENVY 700-029eb)

Intel Core i7 4770
12 GB ram
1 TB HDD + 16 GB Cache-SSD
NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 (4GB)
Windows 8
HDMI- and DisplayPort-
2x DVI-ports
4x USB 2.0
4x USB 3.0
Wifi b/g/n

...
If u guys think i need to buy other parts for one of these or get other stuff, please tell me

Just got the Erazer... And wow, never had something like this before

Its a whole different experience if u compare it with my old one!

I can record really well with it.. I can even but shaders in Minecraft etc...

I would buy computer number 2. Why? Well, that's a stupid question. 12 gb ram (you're gonna use just like 6-7 gb, noo need for 12, but it's better to put more), graphic card 4 gb (very important!), 1 TB HDD is good (i have one), SSD is good (boots windows HOLY CRAP). So yea, number 2. But!
If i had that computer, i'd put Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. Windows 8 is shit.

I would go for #1.
Although #2 is very nice but the GTX 660 is way more powerful than the GT 640.
That's the only reason why #1 is better. If #2 had that GPU then I would definitely choose #2.

Same reason, even if the 640 is 4gb the 660 has better performance and rendering

Definitely 1. More storage for one, and then the Graphics card like everyone else said.

Honestly though, I'd say build your own. Much more worth the time and money.

Out of the choices, I say choice #1. But my real choice would be to build one. Can be a lot cheaper, only down fall is you need to know how to build a computer, need to know what hardware goes with what, need to know what hardware specifications matter.

i would like to choose 2 cuz 12GB of ram is not really a big problem

youre not gonna use all of the ram anyway,it has SSD and its so fast :thumbsup:

Building your own Computer is only worth if you're gonna replace it again after like 1-2 years. If you have your PC for like 4+ years buying one pre-built is better.

I would definitely get #1, why? Because the 660 is so much better than the 640, here is a little power comparison between the two:

But also, does it really matter that it's the intel core 3370 instead of the 4770 ?
I heard that it's better for overclocking, but, i have absolutely no idea what that is..

Being as they are the intel 3370 and 4770 are very similar and overclocking is increasing the default frequency of a CPU or any other PC part (GPU, RAM) which makes the CPU work faster and better, but it's kinda dangerous if you're not very familiar with tech stuff and how to adjust power consumption.

Rather than this you should type out your MOBO model. Its not sayin anything :P.
Also 3770K / 4770K is like GOD tier CPU atm. so you should seriously consider if you will use it in 100%.

Just noticed you have pointed out 3770 and 4770. It is better to give that little amount of $ for "K" series. They are super overpowered in overclockin. And its very easy to OC them.

Definitely the first one!

If you have any more money, upgrade your CPU to a 3770k or buy a 60 to 256GB SSD!

I would recommend that you buy a newer GPU like the 760, 770 or 780 as the performance increase is definitely noticable!

That would be some of the things I would comment about your build but apart from those picky things I said, your First Build would suit you fine!

EDIT: GO with Windows 7! Better interface and much more easier to use when your using your P.C for gaming!

I don't really think that windows 8 is good for gaming.
