Help do you know how to install full custom stories on mac?

    I dont know how and i cant find any details on how to do it. By full cs i mean like a custom title screen like through the portal or tenebris lake. for mac though please help :(

  • It is kinda compilcated

    Basically, open the readme file in the story that you downloaded. They will tell you what you need to do for a mac. I hope you downloaded Amnesia through Steam that makes it easy.

    I'll give you an example:

    I downloaded "Through the Portal" and in the latter part of the ReadMe file it says:

    "2.) Steam Users
    Go to your Steam Library, find Amnesia the Dark Descent. Right click it, then go to "Set Launch Options"
    and add in "config/ttp_main_init.cfg" (Without quotes). To play normal Amnesia again, just remove this option."


    What this means is:
    1. you extract the files of "through the portal" to custom_stories like normal.
    2. go to steam, and view your game library.
    3. right click and click on properties.
    4. click "set launch options"
    5. type in "config/ttp_main_init.crg" without the quotes.


    I just said what the readme file tells you to do, but in my own words. The problem is that you need a code to type in the launch options to play full conversion mods. Most readme files give you one, but Tenebris Lake gives you no code. Right now I have no way of playing Tenebris Lake, but other mods I have been able to play. I hope that helps.
