Gaming FPS Problem

Sometimes when I play a game i.e. Amnesia, Team Fortress 2 is works just fine. No lag, no drop in frames or anything. But other days (like today) they both can barely make it to 20fps. I was wondering if any of you could help me try and figure out the problem behind this because to be honest I have no idea what it is

There was alot going on, and I ended the processes and it got a little better, but still not a good as it usually is

Try dropping the quality on the graphics down a tad? I had that problem with Dead Island while recording, it made combat nigh-on impossible to play, but dropping the foliage quality to medium sorted it right out

that would work for amnesia probably, but I already play tf2 at lowest setting x) thanks for the suggestion

It's either because your system got hot up to 100C that's why it slows a bit. or many running backgrounds. Anyways, update your drivers.

Amnesia just hogs up CPU and GPU like there is no tomorrow and lags the crap outta me , while all my drivers are 100% updated etc. . Which is weird since I thought Amnesia is running on the Unreal Engine ,which is 1 if not the most stable engine in the gaming industry. I can play Killing Floor at max resolution and settings , yet I play Amnesia with like 20fps on the lowest settings. (But I don't care , I completed the game @ my friends house at max settings in the dark :3)

Then something's wrong with the game.o.O Disable the vsync if it has that.

It's either that you're using a vast amount of physical memory, or something is eating your CPU Usage in the Processes center, be sure to end un-necessary processes running in the background, such as instant messengers, or anything else that is not needed within the atmosphere.
